Oh boy getting this one released really came down to the wire. I was editing this video up until ten minutes before I uploaded it. At least it is done, and should be on streaming services within a week.
I'm gonna take a break from the super gritty vocals for a few weeks. Some of the higher lines might still have a bit of grit on them, however me singing like I have an orbital sander rammed solidly ten feet up my ass is gonna be put on hold for at least the next 2 covers. I'm gonna take this chance to work on some cleaner mid-range vocals. Right now I don't get much vocal practice in day to day, so the two days a week I am recording vocals is about all the "practice" I get, and I need to work on my clean mid-range singing. Anyways, hope you enjoy the cover!

I love the song so so much but I thought the lyrics where different than these but still an amazing song
The meaning of the lyrics that I wrote for this cover slightly differ in meaning from the direct translation in some places. I do this to fit the lyrics to the melodies rhythm, as well as to make sure they follow proper syllable stress and have some rhyme to them. These lyrics are a glammed up version of the Japanese meaning, they admittedly are not 100% accurate to the original meaning 😅. Glad you enjoyed the cover!

btw you can cut back on the autotune a bit, i think it would make it beter?
I used Melodyne to pitch correct the vocals, and it doesn't do very well with the super distorted singing. It doesn't even recognize half of it as pitched singing, and what it does can have the formants royally screwed just by making half-step adjustments. I don't mind the slightly more robotic sound in this song, but I try to make sure the vocal takes are accurate before pitch-correction in less aggressive covers to avoid/reduce any weird distortions.
