    Ahh, so many gorgeous plumie's!! That variegation tho! To die for!! The splash on the Maya is incredible!! Would be so fun to see her blossoms when she's ready! And the ameritrine - totally tineke-like! Crazy the foliage similarity! I can practically smell those beautiful blossoms on your last lovely one! Good idea reaching out to a grower to see when a restock will happen. xo

    • @aGirlwithaGarden
      @aGirlwithaGarden  Před 4 lety +1

      Generally when plumerias haven't bloomed for you it's most likely its not getting enough of what it needs to flower. Flowers take a lot of energy from the plant and it needs the right nutrients for it ti flower. I would recommend fertilizing it. Use a 10-52-10 or any type of flower blooming fertilizer that has a high middle number. Hope this helps 🌺🌿.

    • @aGirlwithaGarden
      @aGirlwithaGarden  Před 2 lety

      Hello there 🌺🌿, variegation in plants can be tricky. Some plants the variegation isn't stable and the plant can over time revered back. Some swear by placing the plant in more sunlight they see the variegation hold better while others argue that it doesn't really help. Sorry, I can't give you any firm tips on getting plumeria to become more variegated...but it's worth a shot to place your plumeria in higher filtered lighting.

Today he gave me a special discount so I bought it. After reading about I am kicking myself for not getting it earlier. Only silver lining is that I got a bumper discount now. Mine is a grafted one though. Hopefully it can survive. I just want to know about its watering requirments. I know Plumerias dont like constant watering but right now its almost 43C where I live. Also can they survive full scorching sun or like semi shaded location. Thanks.

    • @aGirlwithaGarden
      @aGirlwithaGarden  Před 4 lety +1

      Hello there 🌺🌿! That’s awesome that you were able to get a Variegated Maya. They aren’t that easy to come by here. Mine are also grafted and they are growing real well. You wouldn’t even be able to tell it was a graft by looking at it. I’ve seen some grafts that are not so pretty ☹️. So I’m pretty selective when it comes to buying grafted plumerias. As far as sun and water. These can take full sun. However when you first get them they need to acclimate slowly to its new home and spot that it will be growing in. If the plant was already growing in full sun then you don’t have to worry about slowly exposing it to direct full sun. As far as watering for me here in Florida I have some growing in pots outside and during our wet season it can potentially rain every day so the Plumaria‘s can getting watered every day during that time. This is when well draining soil becomes real important.

Its equally stunning with maple like leaves. I would recommend you to get one if you can find one as its very rare.
