      I had some interest in it while attending the University of Arkansas for obvious reasons, but after I graduated I really lost track interest until this year when my daughter started running track in Jr. High School. Going to those meets was fun then we would go to high school meets just to see what was out there and living in Houston we could easily make it over to Austin for the high school state championships and now the NCAA championships. Top level track and field meets are incredible sporting events.

I watched the 400 and I was expecting Willie to win but his teammate won. I said wow 1 2 in the 400. I have a couple questions I don't understand.
    1. Do they start in the same spot as the open 400?
    2. Why don't they stay in their lanes for the whole race?

    • @aroncampos5720
      @aroncampos5720 Před rokem +7

      1. No the start is line is different.
      2. They cut in after 3 turns because staying in lanes for 1600m would be crazy long staggered start lines

      Elijah Godwin the monster lead off leg that runs for Georgia got hurt in the 4x1😢. So sad, he is a 400 specialist and they have been using him in shorter sprints. I was so worried this was going to happen. They don’t have the depth to replace him in the 4x4
