In my opinion, one of Paul's best songs
Agree❤❤❤❤
I actually think IT IS his best
Yes! Overlooked because not one of the Beatles'. With 'The Long and Winding Road' - that one, because it got over-produced and ruined by schmaltzy strings. (One of George Martin's few disasters in that area.) In the films Let it Be and the miraculous Get Back we hear it, and see him perform it, the way it was always meant to be.
@@AlanJenkins-yg7oo That was Phil Spector who added the strings to "Road' and "Let it Be".
@@jkdetroit961 Of course, I'd forgotten. Thanks for reminding me. Even as I wrote it it seemed unlike George Martin to have got something so wrong!
He truly loved Linda.❤
Paul played everything in this version.
The greatest of all time.
When we are all dead and gone and forgotten, this guy will be remembered still. He was the Mozart of our century!
No he wasn't
People are gonna look back at his solo career one day and realize that he was truly the greatest songwriter of the greatest band ever. ❤️
I love all the rest but nobody could write like McCartney.
For all the craziness of being a Beatles he's a good and down to earth guy. He adopts Linda's oldest daughter, great father, great friend to Julian Lennon and hung out with him when Julian was little, never was violent, always made us feel better with his songs, an animal and wild life protector, and definitely made the world a better place.
Succinct.....never ever violent...how refreshing, sane
I’ll even forgive him for the meat free Monday’s clip. Thanks Macca for a lifetime of truly great songwriting arranging and human positivity. X
Wow, your comment honestly made me respect him even MORE! It’s good to know that he’s actually good people.
The first Paul McCartney malfunctioned and blew his brains out in a car. John wrote a song about him called "a day in the life". Wonder if the original Paul or Faul as the band called him could have written "baby you amaze me".
@@DungBeetle47 haha thats a pretty funny joke

This is one of the greatest love songs ever written. Just stunning, one of McCartney's best.
It is indeed.
Absolutly, maybe the best love song ever!
played every instrument, and every vocal here and on the entire first album of his!
Well it is amazing but Something by George Harrison is a little better.
It's a life song, simple
"Maybe I'm Amazed"and John Lennon's "Woman" are both reminders of how bloody lucky I am to be married to my bride of 43 years. I am continually both awed and humbled by this wonderful woman. Paul and George both said it best.
Congrats my friend. Im so glad you realised it and held on to her.
This man has released 56 albums in his life with The Beatles, Wings and solo. It's just unbelieveable. The greatest musician in history Sir James Paul McCartney.

I’m gonna cry when him and Ringo die. The Beatles were one of the first bands to really get me into rock music. It was them, AC/DC, and Metallica, thanks to my Dad. I’ve already missed seeing AC/DC with Malcolm Young, and Metallica lost Cliff before my parents had even met. Lovely commenting on her as well as the and from Paul
I have been listening daily to McCartney's music for the past year... it's helping me heal. My mom suddenly passed away last fall, my dad loved her so, and growing up listening to McCartney and the Beatles, it is as if his songs parallel my parents' love story. They bring me back a bit of her, a bit of what we had.
"Maybe I'm Amazed" is my all time favourite song from Paul McCartney... A song of pure love and honesty, coming from a guy who was head over heals in love with his woman, and rightly so... ( who will always be part of his life), Linda McCartney. May she rest in peace.

This song reminds me about my wife. It was her favorite song before she lost the battling to cancer, I wish I could change the hands of time, I miss her smiles, she was always there for me and our lovely daughter, and I never miss a moment with her, life could be so unfair most times, there is some pain, I will cry in vain but won’t let you know how I will feel yes, I will miss you to the core! but some times i wonder why bad thing always happen to good people. Something
When you meet Paul McCartney's discography, you can't avoid feel admiration for Linda. A woman who always stay by his side, a woman who was a good wife, artist, activist for the right animals and mainly, a good mother. Wherever she is, all my loving I'll send to you Linda.
I wish I had a side kick who amazed me...
@@gboard17 love unconditionally and you will find her..Open your heart to receive...
@@lisamarielegrand6546 I've got to have appreciation. A attitude of gratitude or it's a no go.
What a special human being. Never will be again so cherish
In 1975 my Dad walked me down the aisle to be married to to this song... the marriage only lasted four years... but we reconnected years ago and now we speak every single day.... we are very very good friends now and he just sent me the link to this song..... I was already emo today but I started bawling the very minute I heard the first note.... he's a great guy... thank God for emotions.... they feel so good
Now that’s amazing
I am ( was) good friends with both my exes. One, rhw father if NY kuds passed after vacination..but we were friends till the end also.
this is a gorgeous album by paul, all instruments played by him with harmonies and support from linda. a pre-cursor for lo-fi and indie music genre. maybe im amazed- heartfelt thank you to the love of his life, his rock. greatest, honest love song of all time
One of McCartney best vocal performances ever, especcialy in the louder parts of the chorus. The unpolished style reminds me of songs like 'Oh Darling', but in this song it's not a character he's playing, here it is real raw emotion.
I am sorry that his wife, Linda died. She was irreplaceable I am sure. Sometimes we remember our loved ones at Christmas or the day that person died and wish they were here with us. Try to have a Merry Christmas anyway.
@Paul McCartney Fake
Golden slumbers amazing vocals too also Munkberry moon delight from ram.

Ram is one of my fave albums ever, and i love Monkberry Moon Delight for the exact reasons you mentioned. ❤🎶
@@kayvancooten4657 Whats your favourite song on Ram? Mines is 'driving in the back seat of my car'.
The more i play this song the more I wanna cry
Much love for this song
He played all the instruments on the entire album, just amazing
I was just about to ask that question, amazing.
@@archieandrew9317 guys an absolute genius
McCulloch (Thunderclap Newman) played guitar on maybe I’m amazed
Not on this one, it was never released as a single, recorded in 1970. Later a live version , played a little different was released as a single, that one had jimmy McCullough on it with the rest of wings. From 1977 @denisemorrow9500
Lyrics :
Maybe I'm amazed at the way you love me all the time
Maybe I'm afraid of the way I love you
Maybe I'm amazed at the the way you pulled me out of time
And hung me on a line
Maybe I'm amazed at the way I really need you
Maybe I'm a man and maybe I'm a lonely man
Who's in the middle of something
That he doesn't really understand
Maybe I'm a man and maybe you're the only woman
Who could ever help me
Baby won't you help me understand
Maybe I'm a man and maybe I'm a lonely man
Who's in the middle of something
That he doesn't really understand
Maybe I'm a man and maybe you're the only woman
Who could ever help me
Baby won't you help me understand
Maybe I'm amazed at the way you're with me all the time
Maybe I'm afraid of the way I leave you
Maybe I'm amazed at the way you help me sing my song
Right me when I'm wrong
Maybe I'm amazed at the way I really need you

Sweet
Imagine how great this would've been if it was recorded with the Beatles... it's still brilliant how it is, though.
BEST OF BEST
It is incredible how Paul was able to express his love for Linda in under four minutes, and have us all feel it. I would love to know how Linda reacted when she first heard this.
How are you doin? I write love songs too ya know:)
@@ast-og-losta Thanks for asking. I am doing as well as I can during this pandemic. Hope you are also well.
Paul! Paul! Yer tea's ready!

But the kettle's on the boil
And we're so easily called away
Linda would probably be so mesmerized.
I also think that even when Paul remarried after her death, he still hasn't fully gotten over her
