- In this video we get on a project that has been on the back burner for some time now. My car trailer was down one ramp, and it turns out you really need 2 of them for it to operate properly haha. So we go over to Shaw's Machine Shop in Marana, Arizona and build a set with the guidance of Bill. I always love a day filled with welding and cutting!

Nice job! I'm going to build the exact same now.
Square tubing - Box iron.
Soap pen marker pencil- Chalk
Cool!
Aw, you are welcome out here anytime! You did a great job on your ramps :)
Thank you! All the help from bill was awesome
Making stuff is always fun.
Dude, I love first gen bronco's. Interested to see it in your upcoming videos.
At least your car trailer is a legit one. Mine is a converted utility trailer with beefier axles, springs, and brakes.
Your channel gives me the motivation to want to work on my crap. And to upload more content to my other channel.
Heck yeah! Love hearing that! Yeah that bronco is sweeeeet
you made it look so easy. I need to build some ramps and now I feel a little bit better about tackling the task myself. Thank You
No problem man!
Sweet ramp build!
Thank you! It definitely served the purpose lol
Welds look good! Also got the stickers just the other day they'll be going on as soon as it warms up here! 👍
Thank you! Badass, hope you dig em!
I’m def working on it! I appreciate your support
Good job with all the fab work man. Only thing I'd suggest would be to use angle iron (V V V V) as the center inserts, much much better traction.
Hey bro can you explain to me what you ment?
he means to put angle iron, pointed part down, (so that the V is facing up) in between the ramps for a driving surface. The V offer traction and strength. @@anthonymoreno2897
NICE JOB ! Paint them ""caution yellow"" .
that was a great, consice video. I'm surprised there aren't more views.
I have a flatbed with no ramps and no dovetail. I want to add ramps but there isn't a way to store. might you have any good suggestions? thanks dude
You should put a rub rail on the front of that trailer
Good idea!
Awesome man! Was thinking about building some myself for my trailer. How much did this cost you?
Glad to hear! Unfortunately I did not get an accurate pricing because I was just using scrap pieces at my step dad's shop. However I think you could probably get an idea from just looking at some sticks of both thicknesses of square tube and some angle iron for the hooks
Nice! What ate the dimensions
Is that about 3/4 inch thick where the ramp hooks up to on the trailer? Making ramps on my trailer right now.
Honestly I couldn’t tell you. I sold the trailer, but it didn’t have any issues and I towed a LOT of stuff lol
Nice ramps are they heavy ?
Not too bad! I think going thinner on the inner tubes helps
wow, those are heavy duty ramps. probably would have been better to make them longer
I didn’t see u grind/ prep any of the material ?
They turned out good tho, good job man
Lol you caught me.. I didn’t! 😂👌 I was in a rush but I shoulda. Thank you!
I really like the idea that the ramps are easily removable.
On my trailer, I only use the ramps to load or unload the ATV a few times a year.
Most of the time I use the trailer to transport construction materials, which doesn't require ramps.
Even sometimes, ramps can interfere with carrying loads that exceed the length of the trailer.
Why weld down when you could of just turned the ramp on its side for a flat weld?
Idk 🤷♂️ lol I’m just a hobby fabricator, but good point!
How much it cost to build them
Hard to say unfortunately cause I used scrap at my step dads shop. I’d say you could get a 20ft stick of square maybe 2 and get it done with that
@@DickHamm amigo cuanto es la medida del cuadrado y pulgada
Is your prescription way out of date?
1/8” is pretty thin for car ramps
Worked pretty good, towed a lot of heavier things
“what’s going on”
👋
young man ,
u are doing this ramps assback / your way is not safe to drive on ! .
angle iron would be better complete safe , because the points will be sticking up , your tires or track will grips the ramps better !
an make sure your lip should be on the bottom / this way your weld want broke
