Tony...couldn’t agree more...I had a ‘96 (I believe)...it was from the last year they were in Annapolis...right before they moved....22 frets, dragon pups...hands down the best guitar I have ever played....it did everything...had to sell it to pay a lawyer!!!!....Im looking at getting another real soon....its a hole in my heart!!!!
I recently got this with the same pickups but with a Blue Matteo quilt maple top. Incredible instrument.
Your solo sounded so perfect. It wasn't a show off solo. Every note was placed perfect.

My next guitar purchase will be a PRS. I want to support them since they supported their employees during the shutdown earlier this year. I have a lot of respect for how they treat their people.

purchased a ce 24 two years ago .just started to spend time with it......my American deluxe telly is pretty hot..so its allot of my time..
the more i play the ce the richer it seems to feel, and sound......great instrument

How was the sound difference between the brass tremolo and the original?
Not much. I actually preferred the steel block on the CE. I later spoke with PRS and they said they felt the same way. Which is why they designed the CE with that steel block instead of the brass one.
How is this neck compared to the s2 standard satin neck?
All the PRS necks have felt really good to me. But, they all seem to slightly vary in thickness from guitar to guitar. I've played some that where much thicker feeling. Same carve, but thicker. This CE (Pattern Thin) is thinner than some of the others I've played. Still feels great! The CE has been a wider thinner neck than the S2's in the past. That said, I think they now make the S2's with the pattern thin rather than the Pattern regular.
@@tonlarj37 Thanks for the reply, I have an s2 satin with a pattern regular neck, like you I had a CE in the past with pattern thin, but honestly can't remember how it felt. Planning on getting another CE in this exact color and specs. =)
What made ya wanna sell it again?
The neck was a bit too thin for what I prefer on a CE, and decided to grab a Custom 24 w/ roasted flamed maple neck and ebony board. I’ll be doing a vid on it soon and chat about that.
@@tonlarj37 Well thats pretty much why I sold my CE. I was looking into buying another because I missed it but I think you saved me the same journey because thats exactly what Im looking for in a CU24 too. I guess Ill just have to save up. Thank you so much for your reply!

@@gmel1084 Shape is the same, but found that the depth/sizes vary. I got Custom 24 w/ pattern thin that was .83 to .90. felt different even though was the same shape.
