Good game here, although I thought for sure the Bulls would win this one.
I have two games I would like to see on this channel:
1989-90 Season Mod: Boston Celtics vs. Minnesota Timberwolves
Note: This game was the very first nationally televised broadcast for the T'Wolves, airing on TNT on Friday, February 2. It would be a very memorable game for the fans who watched, whether at home or inside the arena. Small Forward Tony Campbell - a former L.A. Laker who'd been let go in the expansion draft to Minnesota - scored 44 points on 15/28 from the field and 14/16 from the line and grabbed 14 rebounds. 12 of those points came down in the final minutes with the game hanging in the balance as he (along with Point Guard Pooh Richardson's 21-points and 10 assists and Center Randy Breuer's 20 points) helped lead the T'Wolves to an exciting 116-105 victory over the Celtics and a 26-point effort by Kevin McHale.
1991-92 Season Mod: Detroit Pistons vs. Chicago Bulls
Note: This game was also a nationally televised broadcast on TNT on Friday, January 24. The Bulls won the game IRL 117-93, led by Scottie Pippen who scored 29 points. Complimenting him was Michael Jordan who scored 20 points, who sat out most of the second half with an injured ankle. According to old newspaper reports, the most noteworthy part about this game was that it was delayed for almost a half-hour due to there being a broken fuse, which caused a power shortage in one half of Chicago Stadium. Ultimately, after 25 minutes, both coaches (Phil Jackson and Chuck Daly) agreed to play the game under these interesting circumstances, and most of the first quarter was played in semi-darkness up until the 3:21 mark. Both teams ended up making 60% of their shots after all the lights came back on.
