You paid $70 for someone to wash your feet, scrub them with a rock, then massage them, that’s just insane
she actually payed 120
Yeah it’s funny. I’m sure they use the same rock on everyone. She’s going to get warts.
Edit:thank you for all explaining that I was wrong. ☺️ I know now I was incorrect.
People keep relying that I’m wrong. That’s okay. I was just concerned for others.
@@kittycat8222 oh probably
$70 is the price of pedicure with gel. Which by the way isn’t the worst. Usually pedi without gel is 40-50, extra is for gel, and most time one won’t get any massages. $30 Was for TWENTY Minutes of hand massage. Again, standard price, that would come out to like $70 for an hour so definitely NOT expensive. And she tipped $20 which is the standard and I know many who are much stingier. Obviously one can get a pedi for $20 or $200 depending where. In high end spas, massages with meni/pedi are perks that come with the service and not the main dish.
Lmao they always charge extra for gel because it dries faster & can really last 3 weeks to a month. But still that should be around $45-$50
She really didn’t need that hand massage. Most places if you get a manicure; it comes with a hand massage, it’s not extra. But hey whatever….also she didn’t need to tip $20 thats a bit too much, considering they only did a pedicure. I tip according to service!
120$ is enough for me to eat a whole week with decent food

When kids came, I taught my girls to do the same. My boys also do it by themselves, including my partner. Much rather go on vacation with my money 🖖
Not me, every chance I get I will get it done.
You really have to pay attention to how they sanitize everything. My mom was getting her feet done one a month. Self care kinda thing. She took me along one day and i noticed they were not sanitizing anything. So i got a basic mani with clear polish. I just wanted out ,hurry up get me outta here. For all the complain comments, one answer to all of that: this is Northern California-Bay area-one of the most expensive places to live.
She must be in a really ritzy area because a basic pedicure usually starts at $25/$30 with just color. $5-$10 extra if you get gel plus another $5-$10 for a design. I’ve lived in the Bay Area my entire life and the only time I spent $70 on a deluxe pedicure they were using rose petals, coconut milk, hot stones, massage etc.
@@toriwhitfield5933 Oh i see. That is some good details there. I also see her overpaying for almost everything in her videos. I am not sure if it is showoff or being ripped off…
To her defense, recent inflation really bumped price up to everything. Regular lunch for one person is now $20-40 range in Bay area.
Well, she shudda said that part 🙄
Being from Marin (most expensive county in the Bay Area) $100 is not surprising. The cost of property here is really high which makes up for the high labor costs…
@@mr_smilegaming8842 as someone in the Bay Area as well, she definitely lives in and goes to “rich” areas and places as she definitely doesn’t seem to care about prices and is able to actually afford it. I can get a manipedi, hand and foot massage, and massaging chair all for $60. They only charge for the manipedi too. Yeah, the Bay Area is expensive, but in these videos she’s spending too much for me to believe she lives in your average suburbs.
That's why I buy nail polish and do it myself. I can change it whenever I want, and they can be from $3 to 10 a bottle, depending on the brand
Seems crazy! In my country you get a gel manicure with massage, regular pedicure with massage (and they remove all and every death skin around your nails and cuticles), all you can drink margaritas, coffee, water; popcorn for $17 - $20
Me who asks for the price beforehand 👀💀
Yeah like it’s rip off. I could do her toes in pink for $5. And she’d have a cup of tea. It’s the British thing. You get a cuppa if you blink at someone. 😅
Most places like that one will give you a sheet or have a wall display describing the service options with the associated price tags. I can get a really good gel pedicure for $35 at the spot near my old apartment, with the pumice stone and lotions included, or I can splurge and get a full knee-down massage with hot rocks and sugar scrub for an extra $15. I'm a big penny pincher out of necessity but it's honestly so worth it, especially if you have foot pain or ingrown toenails.
When she got the offer for a hand massage I was thinking “hell no! They’re gonna charge you!” And when she accepted it I thought “noooo!!!” Dear lord $30 for that too, I’d love to get my nails done but no matter what it’s crazy expensive, it’s never worth it
I agree, they mostly can even break-
All that does is weaken your 💅nails... I only get a pedicure and that's once a month which is no more than $40 with a design...next time I'm not getting a design it will he $30✔
Imagine someone rubbing your hands for 20 minutes
That’s why I learn to do my own nails, and I don’t have to pay sm everytime
yea and it can be painful too. I use stick on nails and OMG!! they are cheaper, can do it at home, have basic supplies already in its packaging, and has the exact same look! you can also get clear ones to do you own designs on it if you are learning to do your on nails.
In Romania,a manicure/pedicure is usually around 80 lei(16 USD),but the price can go up depending on the pattern you chose. For exemple,a manicure/pedicure with many models in it cost more than a clear gel. They also include treatment(like cutting your cuticules and stuff like that).

In Canada at a normal nails place, pedicure costs about 30 to 40 dollars, +20 for gel and tips. I’ve been to Cali, the price varies based on which neighborhood you’re in.
there was nothing "deluxe" about this pedicure, and you way over paid. I've seen a couple of your videos and I'm starting to think you have no real concept of money or how much things should cost.. 🤷♀️
If she went to the closest place to her home, she lives in one of the most expensive areas in the country, so did you really think it wasn’t going to be expensive to get a luxury? I can guarantee you. She could’ve gone elsewhere and got the same thing for probably 40 bucks cheaper.
Honestly I've seen enough videos to think she just likes spending more money than what things are worth and posting about it to show off. $30 for a 20 minute hand massage is absolutely insane. You’d just gotta find the right salon, I love mine, my regular pedicures are $30, and so are my gel manicures , they also have a small mini fridge with drinks and a snack bowl for people to get if they want
What salon do you go to
the salon I'm going to has a bar and a candy bowl. They offer different types of drinks but water and juice if ur underage
Yes please give us the location sounds perfect for my pocket. Would appreciate the info
See this one know what she’s talking about 👏🏻
The last time I got a pedicure my feet was itching for days
Hand massage is include in the manicure price in the NY. For the same manicure+pedicure services we are paying $60 (Chinese owner’ salon).
I don't think those places are sanitary. You could get fungi even for that price!
how so my place i get get acrylics has really good quality and offers you a wide range of snacks and drinks
The plastic bag in the bath is so they don’t have germs of reuse
@@KaiserReb the pumice stone is def not one time use tho
@@solikethatscool you can't clean a pumice stone bruh it's a porous material and it can soak up bacteria and moisture, it's fine to use it at home but at a place that should follow health codes? naur
@@brutus3631 they don’t reuse pumice stones in nails salons. They take a new one out of the packaging in front of you each time. All the ones I’ve been to have anyways.
I find it interesting that in Europe you’re used to getting drinks and snacks at the nail salon but restaurants charge you for water lol
No they don't, but they do charge for refills which apparently isn't a thing in the us
@@mint7442 they definitely do charge for water, I lived in Europe for a while and they most certainly do
@@NatalieJ22 where specifically?
I've lived in Ireland my whole life and been to many European countries
I think once or twice we had to pay a euro for water but that's it
@@mint7442 that's isn't a thing in pretty much the entire world except Europe tbh
Because the water is bottled and it's a direct cost for them. As opposed to tap water in the US where the cost is very minimal. I think it's reasonable because in the US bottled water costs money as well. And in Europe drinking tap water isn't a thing in restaurants. Only at home.
You look happy ! Money well spent ! :)
Who the heck gets offered tea and snacks at a nail salon, gurl the Starbucks nexts door
It definitely depends on the salon. I got my nails done regularly and my salon always askes if I want a drink and my nails always turn out great. The cost isn’t bad either. Just remember to check reviews :)
Thats a week worth of grocery! And I can go a lil fancy 🤣
Yep, I could buy about 12 cans of spam with that!!
I pay about $600/week on groceries while shopping sales where I live.
I pay about $125 with tip for a pedicure and gel nail polish. My nails still look perfect after 2 months
@@mathfreak666cheese For a single person or a family?
U got Hussle 😂
That's insane!!! That's 6 months worth of manicure, pedicure and foot spa here in the Philippines. Sometimes even more.
I agree, and felipinos are the best foot cleaners
yes ate, ganyan yan kamahal. pati haircut minimum dito ng gupit 65CAD
For that money, I would scrub my feet in the shower, paint them myself and ask my husband to rub my feet :)))
