$70 is the price of pedicure with gel. Which by the way isn’t the worst. Usually pedi without gel is 40-50, extra is for gel, and most time one won’t get any massages. $30 Was for TWENTY Minutes of hand massage. Again, standard price, that would come out to like $70 for an hour so definitely NOT expensive. And she tipped $20 which is the standard and I know many who are much stingier. Obviously one can get a pedi for $20 or $200 depending where. In high end spas, massages with meni/pedi are perks that come with the service and not the main dish.

Lmao they always charge extra for gel because it dries faster & can really last 3 weeks to a month. But still that should be around $45-$50
She really didn’t need that hand massage. Most places if you get a manicure; it comes with a hand massage, it’s not extra. But hey whatever….also she didn’t need to tip $20 thats a bit too much, considering they only did a pedicure. I tip according to service!

A lot of massage, nail salons, and hair salons have charged a lot in the U.S ever since COVID began, because they started loosing staff and lost money. Some places also try to scam you out of money, by charging extra for simple things like hot towels, or warm water.

That's insane! It really depends on where you live in the US but where I'm from, our average pedicure costs $35 for everything she got and that's not even the deluxe package (gel, massage and all). For another $10 they throw in hot towels for you, massage longer, and do some other extra service stuff. They also always offer me something to drink at my nail salon too. So lucky my nail salon isn't this expensive.

We have Bubble Tea Shop and a Café, Nail Salon (pedicure too by the way), Clothes and everything you need we have it in our shop. We live in Germany and we have Massage chairs for pedicures. They get massage of course for free and also snacks. A regular pedicure and care cost 16,50€ in our shop.

Because the water is bottled and it's a direct cost for them. As opposed to tap water in the US where the cost is very minimal. I think it's reasonable because in the US bottled water costs money as well. And in Europe drinking tap water isn't a thing in restaurants. Only at home.
