To make a long story short. I was about 14 year's old. I was cutting down an oak tree and dropped my chainsaw in Creek. I took it appart and stuck it in the dishwasher. My mom almost killed me.
my grandpa's craftsman 358.350991 gasoline chain saw not lubricate the cutting chain and he's asking for help, he doesn't know what is the problem.
+Nicole Escalante We sell the new oil pumps for his chainsaw. www.repairclinic.com/PartDetail/Oil-Pump/581071401/3133109?TLSID=1773 in case the old one broke. Also, the holes on the bar must be cleaned for oil to get circulated on the bar.
Might have an oil jet clogged. When that happened on mine it was partially clogged and wouldn't quit dumping oil
ok is there something going on with craftsman 42 and 40 cc because I have 2 brand new not even a year old and they both get spark the coils on them work great sprak from the coil and a spark with the coil and spark plug with the spark plug tester. but none wont to start . gas is fresh flushed out the system from the old gas also I mean two brand new chain saws doing the same thing the 40 cc only had a 15 to 20 run time when I bought it yes I used the right 2 cycle oil and gas messurement's . plus cant return them because there past there warranty date. I checked the fuel lines and filter in fuel tank and on carb fresh gas no blockage . so what could it be even checked for broken wires . BTW I do know how to maintain a chain saw for storage if ran chain saws all my life heated with wood still do. and I have a Jonsered 70E stored it the same way and starts fine
Will it start by pouring fuel directly in the carb or the combustion chamber?
