Id like to mention that Subaru didn't "survive" the curse in arc 2, he still has it. It just hasn't activated because the mabeasts are dead. Meaning this does not break continuity
*A NOTE TO THE VIEWER* The Sword showing emotion against indivisuals (Here hating Groovy) is not a new thing. In the anime, right after Elsa vs Reinhardt, Reinhardt apologized to the "Sword" For using it too much and told it to take rest. We arent completely sure who this entity was in the sword that Reinhardt apologized to. It can be the Sword God (Might be treated as an Observer) or it can be a certain soul that inhibits sword when Reinhardt really asks for it. For Cecilus's Sword it looks like there is a certain soul linked to it, or perhaps an Observer himself. Whatever it might be, the entity in the sword is cruel and wants blood and sacrifices.
To something become a member of Great Four Spirit, one must have enormus amounts of mana. But we know that this Great Spirit spilled blood and tears which indicates that this Great Spirit was perhaps engaged in a fight with a powerful individual which lead to its demise, a sad demise. So whoever that encountered this spirit must be a very strong person. The another case can be that this Spirit was actually an experiement that failed, just how Echidna tried to make Puck but that was successful.

I wonder when she encountered the great spirit, was it before she went insane or after? Did she actually get her great spirit title by killing this spirit? Was this spirit evil or something like Malakuera? Time will tell.
its interesting that the evil sword can cut curses and contracts, also Al didnt looped, i'm surprised. is it possible that the sword of power have a fragment of soul embedded in it like reinhardt sword?

Anything Another issue i have is that the story mentions that experience = strength (sometimes) Wilhelm is a great example if that but then you see al who has 18 of combat experience and he's still weak. Guy didn't even make any contracts with mini spirits like Julius did I know he's supposed to be a parallel to Subaru but ine way tappei could have done it is making al as strong as pre arc6 Julius, which Subaru admires which makes al more like Subaru in the sense that people don't know about his rpd and only see his amazing moments
@@bandarsalh1338Its mostly talent = strength. Wilhelm was very talented as well as practicing hard. As for Curse and Spell difference, curses lift when the caster dies. Madbeast Curse basically allow caster to kill and eat their prey from far away. Spells don't get undone when caster dies tho.
I know that re zero isn't a shonen series but i feel like it needs a more consistent power system Of course characters like Reinhart are an exception due to his character arc (similar to goju from jjk) It's probably that tappei couldn't fouce on the power system due to time constraints, unlike togashi with his nen system
Subaru is only resistent because he got the tangle of curses in arc 2. If al is a different version of subaru it would still make sense. I dont believe the theory but its still a possibility
or if he did, he was killed by rem, looped and that time rem died, he manteined a certain friendship with ram (she mercy killed him so its different), and never helped the children or was bitten by the ulgrams. make sense. the only thing is, why he is still there if he should have looped?@@anirchakraborty4953
I love só much about this News informations about fiend sword, but there something I wonder, so this sword can cut and kill curses, contracts or invisible things, ok, but lets imagine roswall wants tô be free about the deal he made in arc 4 ( season 2), and cut himself with this sword tô "kill" his pact with subaru, would it work? And there two situatios I like tô think if this sword is good or not tô deal, like mind control ( like stride and sirius) because I guess you have tô make some kind "bound" tô conect and control someone, and the last, if this sword is a counter against regulus

It can probably nullify Stride's curse rings' effect, but Serius and Regulus use Authorities so that might not work.
