1. In this teaching, we learn the importance of clear thinking. In the last days scoffers will reject basic elements of faithful Christianity. We must ensure that our thoughts are well informed by the Word.
2. We also learn about the coming day of the Lord. This is a certain reality that God has promised.
3. Finally, we are instructed on how to live. We should prepare for that day by living holy and godly lives as we wait.
