the avengers west coast avengers crossover is one of the best 80s annuals. in the avengers annual there is a different artist for each battle

I loved this series when it came out . In the 70's I always wished we had more comics with lots of characters in , as up until then you only got so many just in the occasional group promotion shot . The story was not the greatest , but I still have a nostalgic love for this . Maybe had this flopped the whole comics landscape would have been different now , so I am surprised this set is not more cherished and still quiet cheap to pick up by comparison to Secret Wars and some of the 4 issue character specials .

Hi Keith. I know what you mean, it isnt talked about anywhere near as much as Secret Wars but it is great fun. Just FYI - I will be covering the Avengers/Defenders war soon (ish) for some 70s event action! 😀

Yep. This is my fav comics youtube show. One thing I like is that he goes into specific issues dialogue bubble by dialogue bubble. Another thing great is that he brings up factoids that even I have not heard about before....and this is my era. I was 10 in 1980!!!

Thanks Philip. Due to my low view count I do sometimes think “what’s the point?!” so the support of guys like you helps to keep me motivated. 👍

Thanks, I will continue despite having an annoyingly small number of views! I agree that looking at the actual comics is the best bit. I think I include more images now than in my earliest videos, I learnt a lot in those first few! 🙂

It's actually Sin-Kev-Itch. I pronounced your way myself for far too long.

Thanks Alan. I’ve learnt a LOT of correct pronunciations doing this show as opposed to the personal, random versions I have used since youth (my J. M. DeMatteis is the worst! 😣). I actually look up clips of the individuals saying their own names and copy that but it still slipped in this video! 😀

I began reading comics in 79, and you can see how badly the writing and art went down hill from just early to mid 80s from these 2 offerings
