    Good video. Would have liked to know the cost for other standard sizes, especially 8X10. Also, 400,000 prints for 4X7? What's the expected lifespan if I primarily print 8X10?

      @ITSuppliesINC  Před 9 měsíci

      Hello, we're glad to run 8x10 prints with your images and report back on ink. For general purposes, 8x10 is 3.3x larger than 4x6 so ink usage would be about 3.3x more than what we had on 4x6 prints. Give us a call at 1-800-771-9665.

      Hello, an ink set has 1500 ml and each print is .1 ml. So about 15,000 4x6 prints per ink set.

    I've been wanting to replace my DNP printers with an inkjet roll printer to match my large format printers so if a customer orders a 4x6 or 16x20, it's the same paper and quality. Also DNP printers don't have the best color reproduction and sometimes I'm having to reprint a 8x10 on a Canon 2100 just so it looks decent. This seems to be the way to go.

    we are looking at longevity, what sort of lifespan are the prints rated for? thanks

    • @ITSuppliesINC
      @ITSuppliesINC  Před rokem +1

      Hello, @buffieboily2883, EPSON has not provided print permanence ratings for this particular product as it has advertised in others within its photo line. If you're seeking print permanence for your photo prints, we would recommend exploring the P-Series line from EPSON which touts 200 years (color) and 400 years (B&W.) Below are two printers you might be interested in, if you're seeking long lasting and Wilhelm tested for longevity photo prints.

      @@ITSuppliesINC thanks. We have had several Epson printers in the past, the last on e being the P800, and we are also thinking about the P900. We were concerned with longevity since we could find no on fo on it at all! Thanks for getting back to me :)

    • @ITSuppliesINC
      @ITSuppliesINC  Před rokem +1

      No problem! We will let you know if we get any more information on this. The only mention on EPSON's end is "fade-resistant," which doesn't necessarily speak to the permanence information you're probably looking for. We believe this printer is more for production vs longevity. If you're looking for both, you could probably coat prints from the D1070 with a product like Premier Print Shield Spray which is used to protect against UV light and other environmental factors. Hope this helps!

      @@ITSuppliesINC I have noticed that in my prints, no matter if the quality is high, if you get too close you will be able to notice the print dots, especially in the areas of soft shadows or gradients. Is this normal or is it something that only happens to me?

    • @ITSuppliesINC
      @ITSuppliesINC  Před 11 dny

      @@sunshining3268 Hi there. While the printer does use dots to create the image, the droplet size of 2.5pl is so small you really shouldn't be able to see them without magnification. Maybe there is something with the way your files are being processed?

    • @sunshining3268

      @@ITSuppliesINC Maybe you can do a tutorial on how to print correctly. Because I have noticed that the prints made with thermal sublimation printers are very sharp unlike the prints made with the surelab.

    Permanence! That's the question! If these prints don't last but a couple of years, my clients are going to be calling me for reprints!

    • @ITSuppliesINC
      @ITSuppliesINC  Před 11 měsíci

      Hello @FlashOnTwos, unfortunately there are no archival ratings for prints done by the SureLab D1070. The prints will last a couple of years surely and you can extend the life by coating them with Premier Eco Print Shield or any UV inkjet protection. However, if you're looking for something truly archival, you'll want to look at a printer with a pigment-based aqueous ink set. If you have any questions on finding the right printer, give us a call at 1-800-771-9665!

    • @StephenW25
      @StephenW25 Před 2 měsíci

      If you need permanence you need to buy a Epson SureColor SC-P7540 or similar. This printer is not in the archival market. You're looking at the wrong machine.
