The scoring system is the same as at Eurovision: 12 points for winning, 10 points for 2nd place, etc. In the case of a tie, the best result is compared. If it is the same, then the 2nd best result is compared, etc.

russia is disqualified for numerous crimes in Ukraine: murder, rape, theft, destruction of homes, schools, hospitals, kindergartens, food stores (in order to provoke famine and not only in Ukraine) and so on.
If this is not enough and, in your opinion, "music is outside of politics," then I would add that some of those who may have been in this video openly support all the atrocities that the Russian army is now committing in Ukraine.

But for me here, it's all about statistical facts.
You could also disqualify Azerbaijan for war crimes in Armenia some years before.

@@esctops1180 Ukraine as a country are guilty of war crimes as well like showing live murder on tiktok and laugh about it when russian solders beg for mercy, that is also disgusting. The distruction is not a war crime, that is to be expected of war. Russia did commit war crimes, like attacking innocent civilians when they tried to leave the country even when they had promised to not hurt them. War is awful and I want peace to come soon, but even if Russia and Ukraine is at war right now I still think Russia should be on this list, not all russians agree with this war or are on Putins side, those russian artist on ESC did well and they care about music, it was also before the war. Don't punish russians that have nothing to do with the war.

Azerbaijan and Israel are also guilty of war and war crimes but they could stay in ESC? That is bad politics if anything. Israel or Palestine, the fact that we call them Israel means USA is behind it and are on the jews side not thinking how unfair they are to the rest of the people. Shame on you for being so rude!
