- In this video we join a Condor A321 crew in the cockpit to Madeira’s Cristiano Ronaldo Airport (FNC) and back to Frankfurt.
We get a behind-the-scenes, exclusive and up-close look at not only what goes into landing at Madeira in some tricky weather, including planning for diversion points, but also at what an entire duty day for a Condor crew looks like, joining them for the return to Frankfurt as well.
And this one is extra special because we have Pascal Schmidt of CZcams channel AeroNewsGermany in the First Officer’s seat; and it just so happens to be his last A320-family flight before transitioning to the A330NEO. Check out his channel here: / @aeronewsgermany
This one is jam-packed full of flight deck activity and action including two takeoffs, two landings, briefings, enroute weather reports, and even lunch. Plus much much more. We hope you enjoy!

AeroNewsGermany + Flightradar24 = nice
Yes, indeed - a great Match!😃👍
You can't have Christmas and Easter together ... oh yes you can :D
I love these more technical videos, where it's not just "big thing go brrr" but instead there's a lot of discussion how to chose alternates, what they're doing during the flight, how they're briefing for potential dangers, the walkaround, etc.
It’s a German episode with Pascal Schmidt so what else did you expect hehehe 😉😀
Endlich gibt es den Floristen auf Englisch
Ja, und gut ist er
😅
vor allem echt ! 🙂@@stephan6998
Unser Lieblingsflorist 😀😀👍👍👍 mega cooles Video 😀
Ja, auf der Insel der Blumen!😃👍🌹
A running joke, still running ;-)
This guy flew me to greece this summer. He‘s amazing.
Indeed.
Seems very professional and the pilots are polite on the radio!
Gabriel - this was a masterpiece, really. The detailed view together with right amount of technical talk and pictures which will remind me of flying is still a dream - keep the good mood!
Thank you very much!
Ich wusste garnicht, dass der Florist nebenbei auch noch Pilot ist 🤔
Ist denn schon wieder Karneval 🤣
Aeronewsgermany ❤❤❤
Thank you very much for providing Pascal´s A 320/321-Farewell-Flight! Very impressive at any moment!😀💙💛❤
Love this - and the first officer is so handsome ❤
Those strips are soo unique, I love it brillant video!
Wer kommt auch von Aeronewsgermany???
@@Andi_1337 Hier, verfolge aber FR24 schon länger.
What are strips?
@@Eurobazzcondors new livery, it’s stunning
I'm not a pilot. I got nervous the plane didn't touch down sooner but there's a lot I don't know. The landing looked smooth and the pilots are professional sounding.

I knew it was him from the thumbnail 😊
More than 730 now.

I love that they tell the passengers what's going on. A few of my friends are scared of flying partially since situations like go arounds made them think they had a near end experience. At this point explaining doesn't really help but they're much more chill with talkative pilots tho. Thank you :)
Look!
West Texas here
Condor is a really underrated airline.
Enjoyed that 👏👏
What a professional crew
Vielen Dank für das tolle Video. Condor-Pilot Pascal wünsche ich für die Zukunft auf der Langstrecke mit dem A330 Neo alles Gute💗 ich verfolge ihn schon lange auf seinem Kanal Aeronews Germany.
This should have way more views. As a flight student this gives me even more drive to get into a cockpit!
I have never flown with Condor but they seem to be a very slick professional airline. Another great video Gabriel.!!!
but they have the worst customer service !!!
Like everyone else it felt like we were on the flight deck. In fact with all the extra info from your friend the FO it felt like we were along for his check ride. What I loved was the planning ahead for plan B, then another plan B. Thanks and stay in close contact with the wonderful people with Condor to let us ride along in your jump seat. Thanks , Jim
The captains landing message was absolutely on point. Well done sir
The Final approach was so beautiful!
Thanks Gabriel and Condor for the fab insight into why flights to Madeira can be so challenging!'
Flew with Condor a few weeks ago. Loved the regular updates from the pilot... Unlike some certain airlines now, where they don't even give you preflight briefing or welcome speech.
No welcome speech??? 😮
Das is ja Pascal! 😃🙏
Ja.
You excelled yourself Gabriel. The best one yet. More cockpit detail than ever. I would certainly fly with Condor but unlikely as I live near LBA. Looking forward to flying in an A321 when my local airline changes from 737s.
Pascal ❤
I’m here to say that Pascal is so cute! 😍
This is one of the best aviation videos Ive seen! Those guys loves their job. Wonderful people
Thank you!
This video has answered many concerns I have had before considering a flight to Funchal.
Pascal explained very clearly that based on the weather conditions they were carrying enough fuel to divert to two other airports.
I presume that with the surname Furtado the pilot was Portuguese, adding weight to the fact that only pilots proficient in landing at Funchal are allowed to control planes for take-offs and landings.
An excellent video.
Many thanks.
Great respect to Condor for offering a Thai curry on a flight to Frankfurt. But personally I'd have chosen something else... I eat it every day! 😄
I am soo grateful for this!
Love how the Captain communicated with the passengers during the flight. All the information given is something I would love to know during a flight as a passenger. Well done!!
Wow. What a video!
Thank's for the possibility to share this "thrill" with the crew.
That's the kind of quality I am also used to from Pascal's own content (on a totaly other layer, of course). Seems "worthy" :D :-)
Very interesting video with an unusually good amount of procedural and technical detail. A great crew and some excellent camera work in the cockpit.
Schön auf die Bahn gebuttert vom Pascal
Your videos are top notch as always!
I've been to Madeira many times and have never landed on 18, always 05 which is 'interesting'.
The 05 departure is amazing with the hard right as soon as you are airborne.
First time I went the pilot explained the departure and for passengers not to be concerned as the right turn was perfectly normal.
Wow, just by watching the first 3 minutes i know exactly that this is going to be an absolute masterpiece to watch
Enjoyed this immensely - good work FR24 and the Condor pilots and crew 👍
just an incredible video, thank you for sharing this experience !
20:05 what a sweet french voice :)
We were in Madeira at the end of November, beginning of December. And on this special day of the Condor flight we were on the plateau "Pául da Sera" and experienced the maximum worst rain and storm we have had in Madeira during holidays in 10 years. The wind was so heavy that the rain came horizontally. And we had to find the curves with the help of the navigation system because you had no visibility. Thank you for this informative and well-researched video! And Trident (Portugal) gums are the best for situatioans like this 🙏🏻✈️🏖️💦
Oh my grief! That landing approach from the sea to the runway is absolutely awesome! Not much room for for error! I would fly with those pilots anywhere! Please keep up the great videos
I’m OBSESSED with your cockpit videos guys, so so cool. What a great crew.
I love to see how they oparate in the cockpit and especialy pascal.
Best guy we've got in the german Aviation-Bubble ❤
Theirs only a few aviation channels on this platform which in my mind blow the others out of the water, but Gabriel and his channel are clearly at the top, for content and also the technical side of aviation. Thoroughly enjoyable this along with all his other stuff he creates, keep it up sir and thank for sharing this experience.😊
Condor, das war Werbung für euch auf dem höchsten Niveau!
Beautiful landing at LPMA 👌👌
i wish more airlines would tell the cabin things like altitude and speed it’s super cool
Many years ago, as a simulator engineer in the 1980’s , I was tasked with producing a simulated visual model for the approach to the “old” Madeira airport - before the runway was extended and when there was just one VOR beacon. I got to fly on the flight deck of a 737-200 so I could take photos. The final approach was “interesting”, requiring a precision turn over the beacon at 140 knots to achieve the correct runway heading and a final check of “1500 ft over the banana packing shed”. We had to refuel on the way back to keep the weight low for take off on the 5200 ft runway!
50:51 "Have Fun" - That's what I want to hear from a Captain :D
Condor! Wir lieben fliegen!
"Autopilot off, Autothrust off" - "Have fun" 😀
Butter 😅 typisch Pascal. Bei Ryanair würde er gefeuert werden dafür 😂
Great Video , been to Madeira this March for vacation, epic views out of the cockpit ! Great Crew ! Thank you !!

Got to love LIDO for the awesome charts and ofp format :D
Great video, thanks for creating and sharing. Really professional crew too.
Wonderful video, thank you 😊
Danke für diesen Einblick! Absolut beeindruckend. Danke!
Wow this is funny. Watching Airliners live earlier today, a Condor flight to JFK was diverted into Manchester for a medical emergency.
Great flight again, thanks.
Absolutely brilliant video!!
What an amazing video!
Thank you for sharing your trip!!😊😊Happy New Year 🥂 🥂 😊
Great video! :-)
Magnificient video mate of my local airport, once again thanks for bringing this video
This is most likely the longest video that i've ever watched in this channel. Very amazing video👍
amazing video!
Nice flight - thank you for taking us with you! //
SO COOL!!! I hope you got a chance to say hi to Pedro at Madeira airport spotting!!
This was a fantastic video. Thoroughly enjoyed it!
Fantástico! Mehr of this bitte!!! 😊
Best Aviation video I have ever seen!
Now that was a butter landing @ Madeira. Oh and that view!!!!!
Excellent video by flight radar 24, excellent crew demonstrating very good CRM and professional and helpful Portuguese ATC controllers on the approach sector who spoke excellent English
It's crazy the amount of planning and work that goes on before every single flight by just two people. Like yes big company helping them out if they need any info but the main people responsible to get you there who you think are just flying and configuring aircraft before you get on, are really planning all of this and it's just them two. The amount of work and checking plus even looking for back ups that far away is mental. Even the amount of checking throughout flight to check diversions etc with weather would think that would all be calculated before or automated. It is crazy the amount of work just the two you think are flying do. The detailed inflight announcement reminds me so much of being a kid as thomas cook use to do the same. I hate now that you are lucky you even get one mid flight... Have no idea where you are and when you might land its crap. How they fly blind that low too... Love these kind of videos something you don't see every day especially something like this with weather effecting it.
Absolutely awesome what Condor & Pascal is doing for their coporate image at that times! The fleet & buisiness strategy is sooo good, and the motivation of their crew`s, too. Go on with this and you will earn the golden times. :)
Great video looking forward to the B777 vlog
Those valleys bring a lot of wind. Amazing landing. 👍👍👍👍👏👏👏👏
Servus Pascal.
Really enjoyed the video 🎉❤
Gelesen Video, bin sehr begeistert, weiter so !
Great video Gabrielll❤
Sensational good video. Both CZcamsrs in one video, right in the cockpit, in an actual real flight.
Excellent video, subbed!
Fantastic for such a elaborate tech. video show. 🎉
0:12 i actually just came from his video about this flight
What a fantastic crew
This is the best "cocpit cannel" at the moment for sure. Keep going same way to the future. Captain and FO are clearly real professionals in this video.
This crossover between my two favourite CZcams channels is like a dream come true!! Thank you so much for this video, I hope you guys will reconnect once Pascal is on the A330. Can't wait to see more of this!
Pascal ;)
@@leandercastella9925 oops that was a brainfart, it's edited now, thank you :)
