Update: 2 years on and these things basically fell apart. Cord comes out and reconnects constantly, all the foam on the ears and top have come loose multiple times (had replacements). Bad build quality.

Make sure to do both software AND firmware updates on it. There was a new one a few days ago. Solves many issues.

@@Tropichide super simple my man. Just plug it in, and in the software program, there's an update section. You have the option of updating just the program, or the firmware, or both. Let me know if you have trouble.
@@minimusmax Hello! Yes, it's amazing. I got the firmware update notification the same time I got your reply. Since then I've calibrated them and have tried out all the spatial settings and prefer the 'precise,' setting. Movies and single player games sound amazing, not so much for multiplayer, but I can get used to it. "Midway" on Amazon Prime sounds phenomenal. Thank you for your help my man and I'm more than satisfied with the JBL speakers. Cheers!
To have ANC turned on do you have to have the USB C to USB A cable rather than the 3.5mm
The reason for being able to listen your yourself talking in the mic, some people find it disorienting with noise canceling headphones when they can hear everyone else, but not themselves.
I mean, I’ve gotten headaches before from talking and not being able to hear myself.
I am fine when I am wearing safety headphones or ear plugs, but when everything is clear, then your voice doesn’t exist, it is not comfortable talking

I tested the calibration today and it's working fine, you have to insert on the place of the Mic and insert it into first your left ear....... starts to calibrate
So I bought this as well and looks like as you said the calibration does not work yet. I get the same message as well in the Quantum Engine software
I'm not sure why they released this without having the fully developed software
@@minimusmax Yea.. it is becoming more of the norm these days. Hopefully the will put out an update soon.
@@rickjones5713 For sure, just push it to market before it's ready because who cares? They already bought it! haha. My head tracking is starting to have issues, so I hope it's something they fix in a future update. I'm going to make a second amateur review video about how to get the 7.1 to work, and some information about how I feel about the head tracking and SPHERE360 sound.
@@minimusmax Hey one more thing I wanted to point out, is that I am pretty sure the mic for calibration is something that will measure the sound coming in from the earcup which will play a series of sounds that will then get a better measure for what you are hearing and then will change the DSP once it is done. I don't see it improving the mic quality. However that could get better with maybe another firmware update.
@@rickjones5713 Yeah, you're right. I talked to a sound engineer friend of mine and that's what he told me it was for. In an update video, I'll talk about that. Thanks for pointing it out!
Is there a choice to have the head tracking feature disabled and still have the 360 7.1 surround sound?

I don't know anything about the logitech G pro but the updates to the quantum ones are nice and they work pretty well now, although the head tracker is still a little gimmicky.

No, it's only for sound.
Hi I got a question if you don't mind, I play on Xbox, does that chat/gameplay mixer work on the Xbox? Or only on PC? Or do i have to do this through the Xbox itself? As I have the Steelseries Arctis 9x already that has that feature but I want a decent wired headset with a good mic as well. I believe these are wired anyway? Or maybe you have another wired headset that you could recommend that has a chat/gameplay mixer on it and a decent mic. You mentioned about the headtracker on your other video i think it was, does that still only work for PC?

Just got this headset and needless to say, my expectations were high. So far on my ps4, I can't get the headset to turn up enough, and when I have the audio jack plugged into my ps4 controller, there's a lot of static. One other thing I don't like is that the mix amp they give you, dose not come with a optical port. With my astro a40s, I could always plug the optical cord into my ps4 and the USB into my pc so I could use discord. So far I'm definitely not happy with them. Hopefully I can play with them a little more and start liking them. I might end up sending them back tbh
You might have to go to the settings in your PlayStation and turn it up all the way, then adjust your headset with your headset. When i say "turn it up" go to your audio settings within the PlayStation.

I couldn't tell you that unfortunately, but this headset is pretty nice for sound quality. the Sphere360 tho is kind of a gimmick.

Def not worth $300. They have good sound quality but the head tracking is kind of buggy and is pretty gimmicky. You'd basically be buying these ( right now ) for RBG on the side, decent sound quality, and a wired connection. That's about it. Plenty of better options out there IMO

no it doesn't I been having my for 3 days these headset is only for pc if you use it for console you lose all your other stuff I have xbox I been testing it out has lots of bugs with its jack if your buying for console use I recommen buying the lower ones or just a whole different headset if you have any other questions let me know been testing everything I can do with pc consoles mobile
I am using them for last 6 months, Sound is great, 7.1 works very nice, not that satisfied with quantum spatial sound. MICROPHONE stopped working now, once i adjust microphone arm sometimes it catch but once you move it gently MICROPHONE DOESN'T work. In my opinion it shouldn't happened in headset worth 220 pounds.

Wirelessly? No. RGB I'm not sure. I'll test soon for this and get back to you.

So jbl basically copied the Audeze mobius gaming headset....not going to even consider this headset because I already own the mobius.

Is it better than steel series, Logitech and other famous brands?
I can't say for logitech, but as far as sound quality, these are excellent. The microphone is pretty good too, probably on par with any other similar wired device. The problem here is the price tag for what you get. The head tracking doesn't work that well, which is the biggest selling point for this headset in particular. For $300, what do you get? A wired connection, average noise cancelling, RGB, and good sound quality and build quality. Unless you can get these discounted, I'd pass. I have another video on my channel discussing these.

Suitable? yes. Get this FOR music? no.

@@nimakanthi228 Because if you're getting them specifically for music, there's a ton of stuff out there much better than this. But if you want a headset that's good for gaming AND music, I would recommend either these ones or something cheaper along the same product line.
300 bucks? That'll be a hard pass bro, they look nice but you can't just jump out in the gaming headset arena and charge Astro 50 money smdh looks like I'm gonna stick with my Hyper X Cloud Flight's for a while, these I would've priced at 149 or 200 max but definitely not 300
Yeah that's what my next video is going to be about. They have nice sound quality, but def not $300 worth. Everything else is either gimmicky or sub-par, or on par. Nothing here justifies $300 bones man
Well keep in mind the range of audio u get from the headphones : 20hz - 40khz the only other gaming headphones in that range is the artics pro + and thats 250 so its legit the same range of price. Its 50 bucks more for the head tracking. Not sure if thats worth it or not but once u hear over 24khz (a40s and a50s)u cant go back.
