I've been playing guitar for 13 years and I know when someone plays with their eyes closed a lot they really feel the music. They feel the melody from the marrow to the heart. You've loved and paid attention deeply to music your whole life haven't you? You have some real talent. I wish people in my small town played music. I request Blink 182 - Adam's Song. It saved my life a long time ago when I was in a dark place, truly. It's also one of the best drumming pieces Travis has ever done.

@@awrebyawe I don't think anybody is saying that moving your head to keep rhythm is wrong here, it's just that she really does look like a bobblehead doll. LOL I watch drummer videos all the time and making a comment like this doesn't take away the utility of moving your head or some other body part to keep rhythm, but it can still look funny. Haha

Nice drumming, real tight. I wonder though: how did you record the cymbals? I cant see any overhead mics. And how are you able to hear the original song through those tiny headphones when you're bashing the drums like this?
Decent quality in-ear monitors can give you more than enough volume to damage your hearing, but can also have noise cancelling features (passive and active) to ensure that you don't have to crank the volume super high to play through whatever you're doing. Even fairly common consumer earbuds will have a lot of these features nowadays. Obviously wireless bluetooth earbuds will have a latency that means you can't use them for live monitoring, but function just fine for playing to a track.
