I really don't understand why everyone is hating on this song, I love it, yes it isn't the most modern style but that just makes it stand out for me.
I don't hate it, it's ok. My opinion is that it's gonna be difficult for her to qualify, but who knows?
Nobody is hating on her people just express their opinion and her song sucks,she shouldn't qualify because she put no effort no creativity nothing new

This is a pretty good quality field this year and this one is probably going to struggle. Don't hate it, it is a little old fashioned though.

this is very similar to sorry not sorry by Demi Lovato. The most interesting thing is that the character Demi from movie “Eurovision Song Contest: The Story of Fire Saga” also tried to represent Iceland at the competition.
I like the song, it could be fun to dance to it at the club and she seems to have great voice 😇 and as you say it’s a bit ‘dated’ but it could find its audience 🎉 💃🏼🪩🕺🏼
Listen to her singing this in Icelandic. Somehow seems better, the vocals ans the vibe alike. E.g. instead of coming theres hearra and the sound r gives the phrase more edge.
I’ll never get how that won over Wild Wild West or Go Tiffany. It’s really like Iceland doesn’t have any intention of winning, like in that movie with Will Farrell. lol
Wild West was utter drivel that's why. Into the Atmosphere was good, but equally as "bland" as Scared of Heights
Totally agree. Wild Wild West was really different and the staging was already really cool. I would have loved to see it on the Eurovision stage. Oh well. Iceland is definitely not going to win with the song they selected. Oh well. 🤷♂️
I met Hera this weekend, and she’s a wonderful person to talk to! The song is dated though

As a Dutch, I don’t hate the song but its just bland and there are way more better songs, so its in my top around place 30
As an Icelander, I like this song. Hera is also just such an amazing vocalist and performer. This was 100% live and while this definitely wasn't her best, I've seen her live and she's SO good. The Icelandic broadcaster is also known for fucking up the sound quite a bit. It's sad how people in Iceland particularly have been sending her horrible messages for taking part in the contest. In the Icelandic national final, the song in second place was sung by a guy from Palestine (who has worked with Hatari) and lots of people who had planned to boycott supported him. Then he lost, there were questions about whether there was an error in the voting (which there was but not enough to change the results) and people started boycotting again.
I don't really wanna get into the situation but I hate how people are completely missing the point of ESC. It's supposed to unite people through music IN SPITE of what is happening in the world. It's absolutely horrific what is happening now (though it's not as one-sided as the media would have you believe) but just because you compete in a song competition doesn't mean you support "genocide".

That is true, and a very mature way of looking at it, but you can't remove politics from the contest. We've had entries being very political before, even winning the contest. My worry is that something will happen at the ESC, like a stage invader or protest getting a little out of control.
I intend to vote for Hera in protest to this situation. She has received a lot of hate from her compatriots, which was undeserved. I don't think that the "Palestinian" song was either. He only got to no2 because of his ethnicity.

@@jamesmaskell3743 Yeah people always say "why didn't you say anything about Russia being banned?" when talking about banning Israel but I literally did. I don't agree with what Putin and the Russian government has been doing but I don't think the general public should be punished for that, or potential artists. Do people really think Putin or Netanyhu give a fuck about Eurovision? They think they're gonna be like "okay people are boycotting Eurovision now, we gotta have a ceasefire"? Get real!

I enjoyed this song when sang in Icelandic. But when i heard it in English I lost my mood
She looks so scared of the stairs, keeps looking down at them when she's on the platform which really takes you out of the performance
I agree with you. It is a dated and basic song with lots of vocal issues. She did much better with Je ne sais quoi at Eurovision 2010 in Oslo, Norway.
I totally agree with you. It sounds dated but not a cool vintage way. I’m not a fan. 2022 Iceland has been my favorite entry of Icelands so far.

I like her Energy and Voice, but the Song is questionable and it still baffles me that Vestrið Villt lost against this.
Although not a winner, the song is not bad and it's better than what Iceland has been sending in the last few years or even the runner-up in the National Selection that everyone is raving about.

I can’t get over the fact this sounds so much like James Newman - Embers. How did nobody see that as a problem?
I adored Je Ne Sais Quoi. She’s an amazing vocalist, and such a nice person. But this song really isn’t it.

I think Iceland is competing for last place this year in the whole contest with Moldova. Both are two of the most hated songs in the contest with stagings people don't like. This is a year where the new artists are outshining the returning artists.
