It's strange that for Xuv 700, dealerships are quoting close to 1 year waiting 😮.. if there is excess supply, why so much waiting period?

Mahindra doesn't make many vehicles like tata and maruti at a single time. Reason could be many like they don't want to stockpile and later sell at discount or may be they haven't large manufacturing unit as compared to Tata maruti etc

Citizens are victim's of these industry ,, better is to go with public transport . Or go fully electric

I think its clear due to tax reduction on hybrid cars. If inventory pile up was the issue then waiting period shouldn't have been there. In this discussion, this factor is not discussed. Tata and Mahindra have always priced their cars on the higher side of the product value. Eg their sub-4 mtr EV SUV is coming at hybrid GV/Hyryder price even after getting so much tax benefit. Hybrids are taxed at 43% and EVs just 5%.

50 % Of the cost is taxes . Govt is milking the people in every way and acting very naive

TATA and Mahindra don't have a model in the mid sized SUV segment (Creta, vitara, Seltos). So with the price cut they can compete in that price band.

like real estate car companies will never say less demand. We will hear after 2 years demand was poor.

Plugin hybrid are suitable option for India it will give the power and torque of a diesel engine and combined fuel mileage over 50km if daily drive is done on EV mode and long drive on petrol. India can use flex fuel 100% ethanol to run these cars that will help farmers and also manage bio-waste by converting it to methanol.

Passenger EV is not successful in USA inspite of all the infrastructure being present then why will they be successful in India? commercial EV still makes more sense, but again massive infrastructure push needed from government's side.

such comments from hormzard are ridiculosy saying mahindra over priced vehicles is really sad would love his response on rs 45 lacs hybrid hyrocss is that priced
or fronx which is around 1.5 lacs more than baleno after all discounts
thats a very biased interview today
a grand vitara for 15 lacs v/s a scorpio or xuv700 for that price will kill MARUTI
