      We can go with Ironman 4x4 (S) rated springs. This will raise the front of the raptor about 1 inch, to level it off with the rear. Or go (A) springs all around and lift it 2 inches including the rear. Or A front and S rear so 2 in front and 1 rear to keep it in a level stance.

    Hello @ironman! I'm planning to install ironman FC on my 2021 Strada Athlete 4x4. Main reason for the lift is to have a better rear suspension. Stock leaf spring of the Strada seems to be flat, which makes the ride harsh. Though I have already upgraded my suspension to Tein Endura Pro.
    Can you please recommend a setup which will give me a properly stanced setup for a city driven pickup.
    I was thinking of using Coil A, then remove the fat bar along with the add-a-leaf. I'm not eyeing for a 2" lift on my ride. I can live with the 20mm lift in front, as long as the rear height wouldn't be too awkward.

      We can get any height using springs. The thing is, with an independent front suspension (IFS), you need to have a 60mm sag/droop to work properly. 3 inches is a little over the limit for your vehicles components, (front axles, steering, balljoints, etc). Lift height depends on age of vehicle, plus the amount of sag/droop it can handle.

    Hello sir, very good explanation but front differential and CV joints are unsprung weight and hence should not matter on front weight between 2WD and 4WD. So both should have similar front spring requirement. Cheers

    • @ironman4x4philippines20
      @ironman4x4philippines20  Před 2 lety

      They are sprung weights on IFS suspension sir. Independent suspension like in the example of the video carry all thos components on the chassis side and are sprung weights. It is unsprung if your vehicle is a solid axle front.

    • @ironman4x4philippines20
      @ironman4x4philippines20  Před 2 lety

      On IFS suspension, the front differential is bolted to the chassis, so is the transfer case, front propeller shaft, and the 2 CV joints. This plus the braces and supports that hold them in place is about a 100kg difference is SPRUNG weight more or less. All carried by the springs.
