U know that Azerbaijan for two millennia or more (two thousand years) was part of The Great Iran, so I think the credit goes to Iran first as there was no such land before. But I agree it is part of Azerbaijani beautiful tradition too :-)

I did not aim to mix it at all, but something here is mroeless missing, Iran (as a country) is the only claimed leftover of the Persian empire, and indeed does not belong to one ethnic group of just Persian for example, it contains Azaris, Kurds, Baloochi, Loor, Gilaki, Turkaman, Tajik and etc. In simple words, there is no Iran without these different beautiful cultures. This is pretty unique in the Middle-east even now, let's say, Azerbaijan or Turks believes the land belongs to one ethnic group of Turks or Azerbaijanis; however, for the case of Iran, Iranian are all proud of having different ethnics and living under the flag of a country which is the result of a combination of many ethnics! Of course Azerbaijani people are beautiful, and their culture is different than other ethnic group we may have in Iran, but one must not forget, through the Persian empire as cause of time and power, these ideas evolved and now is linked to people culture :-)

@@behnoodfathi7236 man Azerbaijan was never part of iran, in the era of sasanids they invade the are called caucasian albania-now Azerbaijan. Azerbaijan was the name of land to describe land where turk people live here from 11th century/ also the word iran was created by pahlavis in 1930s and iran offfically was established in 1979 after islam revolution. from 651-the fall of sasanids the area you called iran was ruled by turks states to 1925. even in turkmanchan and gulusutan treaties it was written that azerbaijan was divided into two parts including north and south
