- In the late summer of 2022, I lived off the grid for 9 weeks exploring and fly fishing some of the wests most remote streams. I recorded every day and started sharing my 9-week truck bed camping road trip after I returned home in mid-October. I'm on a small stream in Montana chasing cutthroat trout and the day starts as a complete fail but then it gets AMAZING in part 34.
I started my 9 week road trip on July 31, 2022, and spent roughly 3 weeks in WY, ID and MT. Check out all the videos from this trip in the playlist linked below:

Extraordinar fishing,super,super mister❤.
Look at that! Almost like you planned it out! Summer 22 trip videos trickling to an end just as we gear up for Summer 23! Run off is hitting pretty hard here in northern CO. I’m heading up to some spring fed creeks in the black hills this weekend and then a few tail waters the following week. Hopefully by then run off will be settling and we will be good to go!!! Keep up the good work Drew. Best fly channel on CZcams!
I agree with you on the brookies. I've got nothing against them but they do have a nasty habit of over populating and then become stunted. I really hate burning some serious boot leather hiking into some high mountain lake and finding stunted brookies. Another great episode Drew. Thanks.
Not being a flyfishing guy, I never would have believed there were fish in that shallow stream. Another great video.
Two months, almost all cutthroat. The horror of it all! 😎🍒 Good video as always. Thank you for sharing.
Wow Drew! What a great spot. Maybe it's just me, but there is just something special about catching nice quality fish, out of smaller water with light tackle! Nicely done sir!
Another fantastic glimpse into the dream Drew!
Loved the slowmo on the first take. I'll subtly hint that longer vids would be fantastic to watch :D
Good to see you again Drew! Those are some good looking Cutthroat. Great video sir! 😃
Great fishing!!!
Beautiful there!!!
🐈⬛🐾🐈🐾👏👏👏👏
man, cant wait to get back on the water. that stream is beautiful
So many quality fish. Outstanding.
Awesome once again Drew! Looks like the runoff going to be intense this year.
After two years of minimal fishing which resulted in skunks, I'll be happy to catch a cold!
Gotta throw that caterpillar pattern!
Great fish!!!
The change could have been due to moving, or just a couple of hours of sunlight to warm up the water. I’ve fished some of those little streams on early fall mornings, and you would think they were barren. Eat lunch, hit the same spots and catch fish after fish.
question I don't think I've seen asked. What color of lenses for your glasses, do you like them, and why?
What is your favorite nymph hook and favorite dry fly hook?
Someone may have asked this but do you carry bear protection pistol or spray ?
As always, I enjoyed watching. Who was that fella standing beside you at the end of the video?😅😂😂
I can't believe how many fish you catch in 15 min.
Very funny!
Another great video Drew. Were those all West Slope Cutts?
Do you ever keep n cook any fish?
What's your favorite nymph hook and favorite dry hook?
WF or DT for the 3 wt?
