You’d better believe it!!! Of the many remixes over the years, this was always my fav version. Countless memories of pain, suffering, joy, bliss, and everything in between with this one. Such a special tune, and a beautiful blessing for any who’ve had a relationship with it.
This song is a drug stronger than anything I’ve ever felt in my life. It’s called nostalgia and somehow someway it gives me the same amount of euphoria as it does sorrow. So many memories I’ve made over the years and just when I think they’re lost to the inevitable flow of time, I hear that same melody and it instantly reignites an inferno of emotions from the past that I thought were long forgotten. Music is the one and only form of time travel that has been proven to exist. Damn this song really hits home for me.
I had a bad breakup and decided to go on a trip, with no plan other than the first place. I started in Iceland with this song and many months later I ended up circling the world, by myself. I just finished the trip and now when I hear this song it just takes me to another place. I went to a lot of ancient sites. Giza, Angkor Wat, Stonehenge, the Coliseum, etc. This is the perfect song when experiencing the ancient world or just a quiet, small town like Inverness, when you're walking down an old street, at 4am, alone...
Found this off a soundtrack from the Maze Runner 'Scorch Trials', there's scene with a soundtrack that has a similar sound to this and someone randomly mentioned it, but this is so pretty. That's how I could describe this. Glad I found it, by coincidence.
My FAVORITE song to listen to as I drive on a dark freeway fast. Windows down, sunroof open, wind in my hair. Feeling all the days stresses fade away from me, as I drift deeper into the sound. Life goes on. SO BRING IT ON!
14yrs later and still one of the best mixes of all time. Reminiscent of the days of raves and exceptional experiences. Don't go gently into the dark... rage rage against the dying of the light. 🙃
*EXACTLY. It's timeless. 200 years from now, someone will discover it for the first time... & then experience the same chills we did (and still do).* _"Embrace me. Surround me... as the rush comes..."_
I'm a black male and one of my friends called me weird for listening to this song and liking it. It made me feel awkward at first then I reminded myself that I cannot be mad at small minded people who haven’t really experienced life. Wasn’t a true friend afterall. ANyhow, when I first heard this song, I felt like I was stuck in a state of trance that I never experienced before. Nor did I mind being stuck there. This is that one song that is for out of the box thinkers who have a creative mindset and are not afraid of tapping into their inner self. Listening to this song is self care.
It's scary how listening alone makes you want to never go back to that place, but somehow makes you yearn for it more than ever before. It's both overwhelmingly mesmerizing and beautifully haunting. I care about you friend. Yes, you.
I might be miles away here and totally wrong, but are you my sisters age group? mid 30's? I know this would have been on many chillout CD's in the early to late 2000's when mkat was at its peak, few miserable comedowns I imagine would have been had around them times, so near in history but feels like a completely different time, UK I'm specifically referring too. I'm 25 now, came on the scene about 2015 when everything boomed again. Think there was a huge drought between 08-14.
this song came up on my playlist once while driving on a road with such a crazy amount of fog you could barely see in front of you. it was pretty trippy.
I've been having a lot of anxiety and depression lately, and this is one of my go-to's. It helps me to remember that I'm not alone, and that these times only come in waves. And like everything else, this too shall pass. So I just drift deeper into the sound, and life goes on.
Me too. 100% my song when I'm at my peak anxiety and depression. A nice long hot shower with the water pouring over your head and this song brings me back to earth
I've listened to this track more than any other. How much I love music, been going through a hard time but you can always listen to music. This track is like my soul, hard to explain in words
At 4:45 till the end, makes me want to just go outside at night and sit on the edge of the porch and look at the view around me just to think about life.
A friend of mine took me to an improvised rave party somewhere in the Sonoran desert, can't remember much of it but I perfectly remember dancing to this in the middle of the night sky full of stars, now that was a trip to remember.
Best version ever. I used to play this on repeat while doing cases of whippets (nitrous oxide) Very deep, emotionally intense moments.... She was a siren singing truth to me and prepping and encouraging me for my journeys. To be tough and take on anything. Crazy...
This song reminds me of my beautiful friend Kelly Burton, who passed away not to long ago.... It was through this song that we met, and I was able to know and share precious moments with someone very special.
after all these years, this song never loses to ability to stop me in my tracks, slow me down, and take me back to a pure and calm place. The power this track has is beyond a nostalgia trip, it's life affirming, joyous, sad, and everything in between.
This is an example of why I wish I had been born earlier. Imagine the combination of songs like this and your childhood. They'd be irreplaceable memories.
You just need to look up for the 1 hour extended chill out mix. Better still you avoid the repetition of the vocals allowing yourself to fully trance out. 😉
I had made a 400 km bike trip solo during monsoon. This song gives me nostalgia about how good and challenging the trip was. Got to know great places which I didnt even know when I travelled the same road on Bus. At the end of trip I went through heavy rain with no raincoat for 90 kms. When I reached the destination I was like ...OHH God thank god I survived and reached home. But the memories it created will remain forever in my mind.
@Mike P.C. Thomas really loved Theresa, the betrayal hurt a lot. They should have been the endgame honestly. Brenda is definitely not bad, she too is good for thomas and vice versa. But Theresa and Thomas is love.
Euphoria and Nostalgia at same time. This song, especially the ending part is out of the world. It brings memories from the past, some confusions, some anxiety but somehow resolved, relaxed. I don't know if I am making any sense right now. If anyone feels the same way! Cheers to you my friend. The world is cold out there these days, songs like this makes it bearable and worthwhile.
