please take a look where eagles dare part 2 thanks :
this movie has an atmosphere that none other has, they dont make em like this anymore
Richard Burton, one of the greatest actors of all time. He made a good duo with Clint, although they couldn’t have been more different.
Look at Mary Ure’s character in this movie. She’s a total bad ass. She’s not there as arm candy for Burton. She’s an important part of the team and his character also treats her with that respect. She doesn’t sacrifice her femininity to be an able and effective agent in the story. Awesome scenes of her not hesitating to be side by side with Eastwood blasting Germans and doing what it takes for them to succeed. And it all plays out naturally with no virtue signaling, no berating or de-intellectualizing of men to elevate her, no displays of unbelievable physical prowess, just her being someone who has their shit together. Heidi is also portrayed well by Ingrid Pitt in a similar manner. Modern movie makers could learn a lot from a movie like this on how women can be extremely capable without becoming ostensibly a man in their character and behavior.
This is one of those movies you can watch over and over and it never gets old.
Great minds think alike! The opening score is the best. The voice of Richard Burton is incomparable. They simply don't make movies like this anymore. Thank you so much.
The perfect movie to watch in the winter, especially when it’s snowing outside!
Classic film I must have watched it 100 times and never tire of it
BROADSWORD BRILLIANCE. 👍 💙 🙏 ☘️ 📚 🇬🇧
One of my favorite movies. When I see it playing, I have to stop and watch even though I've seen it a hundred times. It's got everything. A WWII movie, spy movie, murder mystery, and a splash of romance.
That theme music is epic and heroic. You know a great adventure is in store.
As an older dude, I grew up with films like this in the 70s. Here's some of my favourites from this era . WHERE EAGLES DARE...1969
I was living in an apartment over a theater in a small town. My uncles in laws ran the theater and WED came into the theater. I had sole access to the balcony seats for watching the movies.
I was a youngster when this movie came out. I love it now just as much as I did back then! Great movie.
I can see this film over and over again, and never get tired of it. It is a legendary film, they don`t make films like this in 2020.
one of the most underated masterpieces of all time
Wonderful War era film, Burton and Eastwood are top of their game in this. Ingrid Pitt is such a timeless beauty here...this is the movie that got her name remembered with me.
I have to agree, one of the best. I love all the words said between Burton and Eastwood with no words.
Richard Burton is one of the best actors of all time.
Awesome war movie,...great settings with a wonderful music score,..and Richard Burton and Clint Eastwood's on screen chemistry was incredible,... brilliantly written and the stunning snow covered backdrops made for the perfect war movie ,..the likes we don't see anymore....mores the pity
