  • "There is nothing to do in the Seychelles" is what I keep hearing from everyone who sees my posts online. And for those people and people who want to visit the Seychelles this is the perfect video to show you what you can do in this tropical paradise.
My mission throughout this video is to show you that you can do so much here in the Seychelles and the best part is that most of it is for free..
    Cascade Waterfall on Mahe:
This waterfall is situated in the middle of this island. I recommend asking a local person where to start the hike, once you start it is very easy to get to the waterfall. Bring heaps of water with you as you will be on a tropical island oh and sunscreen!
    Diving and snorkeling:
Diving and snorkeling in a country like the Seychelles is one of the best sports in the world with a prolific underwater life. I recommend going to a dive center and trying it out. I highly recommend Trek Divers on La digue, this was some of the best diving I have done in all my travels and the team is super nice. Ask to speak to Aisha! www.trekdivers.com/?lang=en
The same goes for snorkeling, you can go to your hotel/guest house and ask them if they know a company that takes people snorkeling or feel free to approach one of the companies that have stands on the road and ask them about it.
    La Gaulette Restaurant on Mahe:
Whenever I travel I must try local food. Over the last 5 years of visiting the Seychelles, I have found a hidden gem restaurant that does the best local food for the best prices on Mahe. You cannot miss this restaurant, the owner is adorable and you can feel she loves food through the cooking. On the bright side, if you don't want only local food they make pretty much everything else (burgers, pasta, pizza, etc..) If you feel like you can trust me then try the seafood pasta, the whole grilled fish, the octopus curry, and the smoked fish salad. My god I am getting hungry writing this.
    Anse Intendance:
This is easily the most beautiful beach I have seen in the world and has a special place in my heart. At sunset in the month of December-February, you can see sea turtles that come to lay their eggs. The water is crystal clear you are almost tempted to drink it. The coconut trees as far as the eye can see, the white sand, and the enormous granite rocks on the beach make this place a paradise to me. You also have this little bar on the beach you can have a drink at.
    Hotels:
If you are traveling around this island on a rainy day in The Seychelles, I recommend stopping at a hotel and seeing if you could stop for lunch and a swim in the pool. This comfort is well needed on a rainy day and the hotels are normally more than happy to welcome you unless they have a high occupancy rate at that time. We stopped at Constance Ephelia and had a lovely afternoon by the pool with some food.
    Fruit picnic!
Another thing you can do if it's raining, sunny, or overcast is getting some local fruits at little stands on the road then going to have them at the beach. If you want the best one in my opinion, you have to go Chez Batista (a hotel in the south) and just before getting to the hotel on the beach, you will see to your left a little hut with local fruits. There, Israel will welcome you and make you try some of his fruits. Here is the address if you are interested: Chez Batista restaurant, 6FCV+RRR, Takamaka.
    Victoria markets:
To be honest with you markets aren't really my thing but if you want to immerse yourself in the local culture and food there is no better place than the markets in Victoria on Mahe. You might find something you like and it's fun to see!
    Hiking:
Hiking is such an amazing activity in the Seychelles as the paths and trails are really well maintained and organised with close to no risk of getting lost if you stay on the track. One of my favorite hikes is Le Morne Blanc hike in the Seychelles. This hike is only 800 meters long but very steep. Make SURE to take a lot of water and sunscreen. Most hikes in the Seychelles are free like this one and some are fee based.
    ILE THERESE :
The most beautiful place I have ever seen.
If you are looking for a quiet, clean and beautiful spot to do a little day trip Ile Therese is the perfect place. It is only a 10 minute boat ride from Mahe and surprisingly very affordable for the Seychelles. I recommend going with our new friend Mr. Mickey! We met him as we were staring with envy at the island just out of reach and he offered to take us on his boat that runs charters. I recommend you get some food and have a little picnic. You must also bring your snorkeling masks! Mickeys number: +2482558332
    La Digue:
Go to Anse Source dargent on a sunny day, go to grand anse, petit anse and anse coco.
    Praslin:
Visit anse georgette and anse lazio!
Ps: I ran out of space to write :(
