In IIT BHU, a student was allegedly stripped, forcefully kissed and video taped by some unknown goons. Bitter thing is that perpetors are still at large, while BHU is going to see a wall aimed to provide more security to the IIT BHU part of the campus. However, series of events tell that a robust and fullproof approach is needed for the same. Siddhant Mohan and Prashant Tewari trying to explore the event and problems in BHU.

I am a student of BHU and it's really sad to say that the condition of the overall college is deteriorating every single day. lots of corruption, mismanagement across the university.
Since 2012, take 30 years that all professors retire by that time.
IIT Varanasi should be autonomous with barbed wire and a wall with general BHU.

@@t_ankitaa_ yes actually entry to BHU should be with ID only. CCTV should be in place. Kejriwal has put so many cctv in entire Delhi. Then they also can cover entire BHU with cctv. A bar code reader can check ID through QR code. I wonder why don’t they apply the technology to solve the problem.
And what about girls studying in other courses, full BHU campus should have defined entey and exit and no outsiders should be allowed to unnecessary enter in campus only student,parents, and staff should be allowed to enter

ये रिपोर्ट बहुत ही सारगर्भित और अपने आप में परिपूर्ण है देखकर अच्छा लगा। BHU का छात्र रह चुका हूं इसलिए बता रहा हूं कि campus में आम लोगों की आवाजाही 24 घंटे जारी रहती है इसपर रोक लगनी चाहिए और एसएस हॉस्पिटल के आगे किसी को प्रवेश नहीं दिया जाना चाहिए अन्यथा ऐसी घटनाओं को कोई रोक नहीं सकता। रात में हमलोग 2 बजे या 3 बजे भी घूमकर देख चुके हैं और बाहरी लोग दिख जाते थे ये सच्चाई है। इस campus में लफंगे 24 घंटे घूमते हुए मिल जाएंगे चाहे तो अजनबी के रूप में स्टिंग ऑपरेशन करवा लीजिए।
इस सब में BHU के संस्थान और प्रशासन जिम्मेदार हैं हमारे देश के बेटियों के साथ इतना घिनौना हरकतें हो रही हैं इस पर कठोरता से कार्यवाही के बजाय संस्थान भी इसे दबाने कि कोशिश कर रही हैं

Surveillance camera is not feasible all the time, steps can be taken such as :- Separate the parking 🅿️ (No vehicle is allowed in the campus), Guards must be deployed at all the potential location s, CCTV camera must be checked regularly by authorised people only...

विडंबना तो यह है कि अभी भी लोग IIT BHU को BHU से अलग करने की बात कर रहे हैं। इन्हे यह बात समझ ही नही आ रही की यहां बात IIT student की नहीं अपितु एक लड़की की हो रही है। आने वाले कल में अगर arts, social, law, commerce, management etc. किसी भी अन्य विषय या विभाग की छात्रा के साथ कुछ गलत होता है तो क्या इन सभी विभागों को भी अलग ही किया जायेगा? टुकड़े करने से सुरक्षा का संबंध किस प्रकार है? अथवा सुरक्षा केवल एक विभाग की छात्राओं की आवश्यकता है? छात्रा के साथ हुए अन्याय को छोड़ कर यहां सभी मुद्दे उठाए जा रहे हैं और उठाते रहे जायेंगे क्योंकि कुछ पुरानी मांगो को पूरा किया जाना छात्रा को न्याय दिलाने से कहीं अधिक आवश्यक है!

IIT BHU is different from BHU ......so we demanded closed campus from IIT and since BHU couldn't be a closed campus, we demanded that then put a barricade and close IIT campus.

The reason iitians demand a close campus is that in many such incidents the suspects are in close contacts with the goons of Birla hostel of BHU. That's how they enter and leave the campus freely. Truth is iitians feel unsafe regarding the students of bhu, mainly from birla hostel.

If India government want to retain IIT status of this institution then government must follow this gentleman (professor) and also make separate campus for IIT other wise it's ranking will keep on coming down. Administration must supress the goons (most of them come from orthodox families) those who are studying in BHU they are bulling IIT and Medical students and doing politics only they never read and follow the ideology of Pandit Madam Mohan Malviya and create nuisance and doing moral policing ( some BHU staff is also doing the same).
Being a resident of UP I request CM & MP cum PM look into it very seriously,now the problem became beyond the limit . First throw this director , proctor and VC and bring a open minded and bold persons other wise BHU will collapse and all these hypocritical persons will responsible for that. .......
