  • Of course I had to do it, since I did Before...
    This one begins with the last chord of Before.

    Such a beautiful piece, Bethany! The original chords are fascinating and I found myself listening to it over and over again.
    I have listened to a few of your pieces, and they all have their own original beauty.

      So glad you liked the harmonies! A lot of them come from experimentation/improvisation until it just feels right.

    So creative and loved the little Before & After concept. Definitely Satie-esque!

    A nice response to the 'before' - I really enjoyed the extended harmony in this one.

      It’s very effective! Any chance you’d be interested in a short piano piece of mine? I’ve got one that I think might be up your street (but no worries if not!).

    A curious little one Bethany! I like how the C# starts out as a weird dissonance (#2? #4?), but by the end, its part of the resolute A major harmony

    • @bethanywakim6175
      @bethanywakim6175  Před 29 dny +1

      It was fun to technically have an A major triad to start overtop of G7 (which I think is G7 with 9, #11, 13), and then actually end in A. I have no idea what key the piece would actually be in though, it moves through unstable chords, and it’s so short it doesn’t really land anywhere resolute until that A chord.
