I can confirm, i definitely do not have a Japanese Sore Arse!
"You don't really need a Japanese saw rasp..."
But you do.
Angle grinder and a flap disc works pretty good too
I have a cheap one from amazon and it works great!
My teacher made me use sanding and hand files to start with, just to show how long it would take, before he told me he had one of these. It was like night and day.😂
An angle grinder with a 45 grit flapper wheel gets you very close to done, very quickly.
Nice one, to add a video slice of exactly that same flip when you were a few weeks younger, Ben!! 😜👍🤣🙏
I've only built two guitars, but I love my Shinto Rasp. Best value tool for the task, IMO.
Carvcing anecdote is the only part of guitar conjuring that scares me!
Jeezus! Damn predictive text!…”Carving a neck…”
Why do I need a Japanese sorearse, my British one is sore enough thanks.
Is this the actor from Thor Ragnarok the guy who has the two assault rifles LOL?
Thank you ben off to buy a Japanese rasp
I use some Liogier rasps, just because I didn’t like the sound Shinto makes 😅
I actually do carve necks in about 20 minutes using rasps, files, and sandpaper 😂 My arms are killing me when I'm done though 😢
36 grit on a orbital sander will speed things up.
Are these still £19? On site they are £32 etc? Ty

Those are ok but the dragon wraps from StewMac are 100 times better! A razor sharp carving knife and high end spokeshave are best!
