  • Injustice was one of the best storyline based DC games in my opinion, but one person who stood out the most was hands down the Joker! In the Injustice game series Jokerr proves why he is such a sadistic genius. Proving that his back and forth with batman was nothing to bat your eyes at and when he set his sights on superman...well the world would changed forever because of Joker's master plan. If you enjoy this video about Why Injustice Joker is A Sadistic Genius, then make sure to leave a like, sub and comment below suggestions for future videos you would like to see on DC games, comics and so much more! I say what makes the Injustice Joker such a evil geniu was not just the fact he killed Lois and the people of Metropolis, but he did by manipulating Superman. Even though it was Joker who tricked him, Superman blames himself for falling in the clown's trap. This is why Injustice Superman is so stubborn, always claiming that he "perfect the world" and refuses to take responsability for his actions, because if he did then he would have to recognize that it was all his fault again, that he still flawed hero who was tricked by a villain.

For me the best version of the Joker is one who doesn't care if he lives or dies, he just wants to leave an impression that will last forever and have the best of laughs doing it.

Part of the reason it was so easy for Joker to trick Superman is in part because this version of Clark never had to deal with Lex Luthor.

The Joker in Injustice is straight-up the only winner in the whole story. He proved the point he's been on about since The Killing Joke: that all it takes to turn a good person into a monster is one bad bay. All he had to do was do it to Superman rather than Batman.

I feel in those moment, Joker went from just an evil genius to a full blown terrorist, so he really needed to be put down after this. Not just he killed Lois and her unborn child, but he nuked all of Metropolis, killing millions. That has to count as terrorism, so Superman was completely right in killing him, everything afterwards however is much of a gray area

That first part is the hilarious irony of it: Joker would have gotten sentenced to death this time. An attack on a city as big as Metropolis with a nuclear weapon is one thing insanity would not have saved him from and he knew it. That's why Joker kept pushing the buttons on his next weapon of mass destruction, a grieving and understandably angry super powered alien who with the right motivation could immortalize him as well as showing that world can truly be just one bad day away from his side of things.

Joker had already tricked Superman into killing Lois, their child, and Metropolis. So that line was already broken way before he snapped the Clown's neck, hence Superman already believed that he had crossed a line of no return. Let's be honest, who would live with such a burden? Killing your loved ones and your home simultaneously? Barely anyone.
If it was Lex Luthor who did this to Batman, tricking him into killing Alfred and blowing up Gotham, it would be far-fetched to say that Batman would just let that slide. He'd either bury Lex ten feet under, or put him somewhere where he will never get out, and suffer immensely, maybe Batman becomes a villain but his no-kill rule is still there, but it's been twisted into something perverted: Punishment and imprisonment without rehabilitation. His reason for sparing villains would change, and it'd no longer be about hope or mercy.
After all, Injustice Batman has already proven that a villain can be a villain without killing people. Imagine Injustice Batman but he's the one that goes off the rails, but in the complete opposite direction to Genocidal, Regime Superman.
I think if Bruce were to ever kill, he'd double down on his beliefs, in a manically, obsessive, and unhealthy way.

The Joker nine times out of ten, will do something just to get Batman's attention. His motivation on various levels is to bring down the "immovable object" that is Batman; it's why Batman is so strongly against killing, (the whole "we're not judged, jury, executioner" thing aside); he knows that snuffing Joker out is exactly what he wants, to bring him down to his level. And that's why he won't; the fun the Joker has is thinking of ways to push Batman over the edge.
The only other time I've seen Joker go up against Superman was in the DCAU "World's Finest" where he offered to do it just so Lex Luthor would pay him, and to his credit, it didn't take much to outsmart Superman. I love Supe as much as Bats or any other DC character, but he does tend to let his powers go to his head and underestimate his opponents a lot, in a variety of incarnations.
He's so used to having to deal with (mostly) brawny or "sane" intelligent threats that when he has to deal with someone a bit more unpredictable, he crumbles, and it's why the Joker doesn't see him as a threat and why it was so easy in Injustice to rile him up and tear down the "symbol of Justice" to his level. He died laughting because, despite not being around to see it, he knows won.

Yea in the DCAU he mocked and underestimated the Joker and each time it ended badly for him, it showed Superman to have a flaw and that someone like the Joker can take adventage of that and knock him down for it. How is it a better story that a hero laughs in the villains face and that makes him never want to comes back. Superman has killed before, that wasn't a loss, you're correct about Superman's other actions allowing Joker to win by being remembered forever though. If Injustice Superman had stopped at killing the Joker, most people wouldn't have cared, and the Joker would have been forgotten eventually. To gain complete victory Injustice Superman should have sent Joker to the phantom zone, Joker couldn't hurt anyone there or die, everyone would eventually forget Joker, while Superman would be remembered forever. Just for the icing on the cake Superman, who will live an extremely long time, could pull Joker out of the phantom zone and show him that the world has moved on from him, before shoving him back into the zone.

The more you see the story itself the more you realize the story is basically two tyrants with different extreme values. Batman believes in sparing lives to the point of harming more than he helps. Superman kills indiscriminately and over the slightest transgressions. It's honestly Injustice's biggest flaws as a story, they're both at such rediculous extremes after what the Joker just did you end up not siding with either of them.

  • @jasontodd8296

Why Batman vs. Joker was Hard mode... OK.
Why Batman vs. Darkside is not even a competition? This can easily be turned around if one tries. Yes you could say Batman shot Darkside once with a Radion bullet and so on, find the exceptions, the same goes the other direction. When Superman humiliated the Joker, then went to Batman, told him that he knew this was "his" test, Batman said that Superman failed the test, but Superman said that human lives are not a "test", and if this happens again and Batman does not take care of "his" monsters, he will.
So in the main continuity, or some branch of it, both of them can beat each other's villians (and good writing).
But without prep time or research, which is the only way Batman can beat anyone and how the Joker beat Injustice Superman, well, what would Bats do against Darkside. Harsh language?
Without Superman in most stories, Darkside destroys Earth's defences, Batman included.

like i've said in prior videos batman's no killing rule needs to be enforced lest injustice happen again, or darkest knight or whatever hellscape.
but their ARE expectations to this.
one example is joker, he had numerous AND I DO MEAN NUMEROUS attempt's by bruce wayne, batman and the government to rehab him.
after about the 10th time of splashing acid on a persons face or blowing up the city it doesn't matter what batman does he should have been hung.
like give people 3rd and 4th and even 5th chances, but once you reach the point of repetition that you can predict the DAY joker is gunna do something then he should be hung or something.
like plastic man says best "i used to be a villian and sometimes i needed 4th 5th or even 6ths chances to change and batman stuck his neck out for me, now im a hero thanks to him helping me."
