- Track 6 from the compilation album “Another View” released in 1986 copyright Verve Records. These songs were originally written and recorded between 1968 & 1969. When the band lost their recording contract with MGM Records in 1970 for poor sales, these recordings were shelved and forgotten about until being discovered in the early 80’s. Of the nineteen previously unreleased tracks that were found, the ten best were released on the previous compilation album “VU” and the remaining nine make up this album. Written by Lou Reed, John Cale, Sterling Morrison & Maureen Tucker and produced by The Velvet Underground. RIP Sterling Morrison & Lou Reed. Featuring:
Lou Reed - Lead vocals, lead & rhythm guitars & piano
Doug Yule - Bass, keyboards & background vocals
Sterling Morrison - Lead & rhythm guitars, background vocals & bass on “Hey Mr. Rain”
Maureen Tucker - Percussion
John Cale - Viola on “Hey Mr. Rain" (Versions I & II) & bass on “Guess I’m Falling in Love”
Roll
One, two, three, four - Hudba
Find something new everyday. This is like hearing them for the first time. Moe is a beast.
This song was recorded earlier than all of the other songs on VU/Another View, on December 5, 1967, just a few months after White Light/White Heat was recorded.
i wish the drums were this clear on the rest of the tracks on that record
My favourite VU track. I'm all a shudder whenever this plays
One Of These Days being a close 2nd 😊
Moe has possibly the best snare-arm in the business
and the best bass drum-arm
j'adore le son des guitares
This track and "What Goes On" are the best Velvet.
From VU live 69, right? Ya it cooks. If you haven’t yet, give a listen to Nirvana’s version of “”She Ever Comes Now”.

@@petercelle1796 That's the best version I've heard. Reed's rhythm playing is maniacal.
An onslaught of electric guitars
And the rest of the band.
Mo sounds like she's hitting a big round tupperware container. You can really hear what a good drummer she is/was.
What a fucking sound! Amazing, just amazing. I love this track. It almost works better as an instrumental tbh. Wall of noise levels of fuzz and distortion.
If this had lyrics, it’d be my favorite White Heat song...
makes me sad that they never recorded vocals with this version, the live versions just don’t quite stack up
Someone made a vocal mix, using a live version from earlier in 1967.

Fuzztone from hell!
