      Srila Praphupadya On Mahamantra
      It is a transcendental vibration. By chanting of || Hare Krishna Hare Krishna Krishna Krishna Hare Hare Hare Rama Hare Rama Rama Rama Hare Hare || It's a supplying method for reviving our Krishna consciousness. As living spiritual souls, we are all originally Krishna conscious entities but due to our aspersions with matter, from time immemorial, our consciousness is now polluted by material advancements. In this polluted concept of life, we are all trying to exploit the sources of material nature but actually, we are becoming more and more entangled in our own complexities. There's no need of understanding the language or the mantra, nor there is any need of mental speculation nor any intellectual adjustment, for chanting this mahamantra. It brings, automatically, from the spiritual platform and as such, anyone can take part in this transcendental sound vibration, without any previous qualification and dance in ecstasy. It's seen that even a child can part in chanting and even a God can take part. The chanting is exactly like a genuine cry, like a child for his mom.
      || Hare Krishna Hare Krishna Krishna Krishna Hare Hare Hare Rama Hare Rama Rama Rama Hare Hare ||

      @@dhyaniparikh5200 Even I have studied music as a classical vocal artist and science from childhood. It is a scientific fact that sound waves can't affect the condensation process of the clouds in any way. The only possibility of a sound wave affecting it might be due to the amplitude of the wave which might cause a greater disturbance in the particles in turn causing a temperature drop which might speed up the condensation process but that might only be possible with an extremely large amplitude. As you have specified, "Raag Malhar", it has nothing to do with the amplitude but only a different set of frequencies which can never cause even a minutest change in the condensation process. Even without all this explanation any sane mind would understand that a guy singing a song can't affect the clouds or anything which are 50000 feet above him. Raag Malhar consisting different set of sound frequencies might be able to change your mood but never the "environment". If you are 110% sure about it please give a scientific or at least a simple logical explanation rather than saying it's just true.

      @@aneetakarkare5689 ok I will ask you this, in Carnatic music (the other, older system of classical music in india) there is a raagam close to megh called madhyamavati and sometimes during singing it, the alankarams will make it sound like megh, but madhyamavati is never at all associated with rain. In Carnatic music there is a ragam called Amruthavarshini, it is said to bring rains. If as you claim this vedas shruti type business is a science, then why does south india not getr rain when singing madhyamavati?
      Hindustani music does not follow "the old music classical books". Sangeethashastram is not even known as a thing beyond Andhra. hindustani is a beautiful mixture of indian and Persian music don't taint its beauty with your pseudoscientific nonsense.

    • @rps3182
      @rps3182 Před 3 lety +7

      it's better if we don't cast aspirations on various music traditions and use "non sensical ".Any music has basic common notes , whether western, Hindustani, sufi,karnatik and the notes are common. It's beyond comprehension to understand RAIN OR SHINE through music as it's manodharma in music which is major player.If one can enjoy it's BLISS.

    • @kadalavan4589
      @kadalavan4589 Před 3 lety +7

      @@rps3182 if it is a science you claim it is, please let me know why madhyamavati doesn't "bring rain" but megh does. Certainly if there is any efficacy to that claim, madhyamavati should cause rain am I right?
      Also, you have got all your terms wrong sir. Manodharmam is a term used in Carnatic music specifically to refer to playing on the spot, it is called improvisation in english. Manodharma has nothing to do with the raagam. It is a technique for performance. Even though the technique itself isn't magical, the concerts are. Please do not push the agenda of "indian tradition is based on science" when it is most certainly not.
      It is very much within our comprehension to understand how frequencies work. There are so many many factors to claim that 'raag brings rain' can you cite any maths in relation to that?
      One more thing I would like to add here is that for the most part, Carnatic music doesn't use 22 shrutis, ofc the concept is there and we talk about it, but 99% of Carnatic music is written in 12 svarams partly because of how Carnatic music came to be what it is today, because the older system of music in the south was tamizh pan and it used 12 notes. Western music also uses 12 notes. Hindustani uses 12 as well but the 22 are commonplace. Arabic/sufi music uses 14 notes 2 of which are unlike any we have in indian classical. Please, if you are going to make scientific claims, give some numbers as evidence.

      Firstly, that’s not the point at all. Else, singing Malhar would have been a great solution for water shortage.
      The point is that the system of Ragas is borne out of feeling one with nature - eg. feeling the time of day / feeling the passage of time / feeling the season of the year.
      Secondly, there have been Siddha-Purushas who have the power of summoning changes in their environment. They have attained ‘siddhi’. When they meditate / perform, they can go beyond ‘normal’ human parameters.
