I just did a variation of this hair style. My barrel curl turned out amazing thanks to your tutorial. I was never able to get the volume I wanted before I saw your video. My hair is way to long to do the back part so I just ended up putting it in a bun and added a flower accessory.
The next time you do a tutorial like this, can you show how you pin the pieces in the back please. When I try, it doesn't hold very tight, so I'm wondering if there is a trick to it. Thanks!!
Is it possible to do that victory roll in the front if you have actual bangs? I am growing them out, but currently have side swept bangs and have had trouble re-creating this look because of them... I've been obsessed with pin-up and vintage looks since I can remember, and you make it look so easy! Please keep doing these 30s-50s glam inspired looks, maybe some more with the hair down in soft waves? Thanks! 😊 XX

I find so much hair breaks when I'm brushing out vintages styles because of all the backcombing and hairspray. It'd be great to see a video on how you do it! Xx

That's not really something you can just watch a video and transition right away to and understand everything about being a pin up. It's a lifestyle. Many pin up girls found their own ways into the pin up culture. Most girls just like it because of the style but it's not really just about that. There's so much more to it. It's not just a dress up type of thing. It's awesome that you like it. But it just sucks seeing girls wanting to dress that way just for the fashion.

Hellokittyybabee I started when I cut my bangs. I like them shorter than the norm, but I asked the stylist to cut them in a deep V. I bought a dress I love and my love for red lipstick...and vuala...the rest is history. Have fun with it...my look evolved into a rockabilly style...or so I was told by others since I have an affinity for boots, tats, and some piercings...but really I am a sweet mother of 2 that loves from the heart and always points towards home. I just look like I come from a bit of a different era...I have fun with it...and so should you. Good Luck! (Also, I disagree with Demented Doll too...be a daring Betty Page and rock what you got!!)

Sometimes I'll had more pins. When my hair is 2nd day hair or 3rd day hair, it will stay put so I don't need extra. But when I do it when my hair is freshly washed then I need to put pins.

I wash my hair twice a week. I usually do a casual updo during the week so it doesn't look bad :)

With bangs you can do a modified victory roll. Just work in a little more hair from the top to make the roll.
