I bought a 2008 LR3 with 107,000 miles for $7,500 in January 2024 w/ a/c warm. I fixed the a/c and replaced some rusted control arms and tie rods. It worked great for a month -- but then ... many, many electrical gremlins w/ head unit going off/ a/c going off/ after driving 20 minutes -- strange stuff. Had it in the shop for 3 months. I checked countless forums and LR boards with no definitive answer. It was finally discovered that the "instrument cluster module" was bad and needed to be replaced. After doing so, it has been a wonderful errand runner and 2nd vehicle. So after tires, fluids, repairs, etc., my $7,500 LR3 is now a $15,000 LR3. I'd do it again in a heartbeat. I think with the V8 Ford engine, it might be good for another 100,000 miles. I hope you enjoy yours and it causes you no undue stress.
@@Canfav-ze9nm I took it to the dealer in Clearwater, FL. I know there are a bunch of companies that do it for $300-$500, but the mechanic told me that it had to be a new cluster (not sure if that’s true) - it took them 3 weeks to get it in.
Hi, Looking forward to your watching your journey with Disco3. Water could be from three places, front sun roof drain, A pillar grommet or A/C evaporator drain.

Who changed and reprogrammed your instrument cluster?

Thank you for the tips. I will check the 3 locations, I’m sure it has to be one of the three. I will post my progress.
Thanks again
I love mine
Honestly I have to say by far this is one of the best vehicles I’ve ever owned. I’m interested in testing its capabilities soon.
