  • Hi, everyone! I have far more girl dolls in my collection than boys, therefore my boys generally get less airtime. But they are a beloved and beautiful part of my collection too, and I want to take a little time to share all of them with you today. I hope you enjoy!

Awesome Nicole....all the little fellas look so so cute laying there together!! Great job. I too am partial to girls, maybe it is because of the clothes, but it's difficult to find cute boy stuff around here. Thanks for sharing & great contribution to Thankful Theme Thursday 😂....LOVE IT❤❤!!
Have a super BLESSED week 🥰😍🥰‼️‼️

Awww, thank you! I'm so glad you enjoyed seeing them! Yes, boy clothes are of an entirely different type than girl ones. I think that gap is narrowing with some of the more modern fashions, especially for little girls. But I love the ruffles and bows and flowers and frills. However, I also do really enjoy what my boys bring to the collection apart from their clothes, and I do have *some* cute boy things now!

I can so relate. I had a nursery full of girls until I had Dylan, and now I’m desperate for another boy.

Boys have their own special magic, don't they? I hope you find the perfect brother for Dylan when you're ready to do that!

Hey Nicole! I had to hunt you down. I hadn’t gotten any notifications for your videos. Kitty at Little Wattle nursery told me to unsubscribe and resubscribe and hopefully that will reset it so I will start getting notifications again. So we will see. Anyway I’m trying to catch up on the videos that I’ve missed. You did a great job setting up five boys! They all look adorable. I think it’s Jonah, you said? The one on the end; we just see half of him. So the camera set you off by just a little bit. Thought you wanted to know 😉 ❤. Love the stories that went with the babies ❤. Take care, God bless you! 💕🤗, Christy

I so appreciate you taking the time to find me and catch up! I know how hard it can be to do, and then CZcams makes it more difficult with all its weirdness. Thanks for telling me about the camera! It could have been a lot worse! LOL It was fun putting them all together like this!

I’m just fascinated that you do this being sight impaired. How do you Know what clothes you are putting on them?🤗❤️🤗❤️ Can you see anything of their faces or do you have a general idea by touch?

Great questions! My eyes are literally non-functional from birth, so I'm totally blind. I've actually learned so much about facial structure and expression from reborns. I love to write and otherwise create stories and characters, and assigning little personalities to my dolls is a major way that I connect with them, so from very early on I started asking questions of sympathetic sighted people about what different expressions were and what they meant. A smile or a frown are fairly obvious, of course, but my favorites are actually the more subtle expressions. Now, after doing this for eleven years, I have a lot of memory and knowledge to draw upon. I still ask a friend if I encounter something new.
As for clothes, this is trickier. I have a lot of babies and a lot of clothes for them. There's absolutely no way I can memorize details of every single outfit, which is why I don't often do more specific outfit themes; they're more of a chore than fun for me because they require asking for extra help or using an app on my phone to try to identify something that would work. But I do try and get a visual description of most clothing I bring in at some point, and once I've been told about it, I usually remember at least some part of that. I try to avoid having too many things that feel the same for that reason, although with some things it can't be helped. I keep pieces of matching outfits together by rolling or folding them together or by pinning them with a safety pin, or hanging all the pieces on the same hanger. I usually try to keep accessories fairly neutral unless they have a distinctive feel to them, and I keep things separated by gender and type. My system of organization is pretty elaborate! LOL
Thank you for asking your questions! I have a playlist on the channel called "Dolling It Blind" where I put videos that talk about and/or show aspects of how I do things as a blind dollie CZcamsr. It's far from complete, but I add to it whenever I feel I have something to share that a general audience could learn from.
