    Bolognese sauce is an Italian meat based sauce for pasta which originated in Bologna in Northern Italy. Orginaly known as Bolognese Ragu. This recipe is not exactly authentic if that actually exists, however flavour-wise, this recipe is as good as it gets for what we have learned to love and know as Spaghetti Bolognese.

      You can also use white wine, I find with red meat, red wine tastes better.

    Hi, I am just making this and the result is more like soup. The recipe calls for 3 cups of beef stock which seems like a lot and when watching your video it looks more like you only add one cup. Please, what can I do to thicken this. Not sure about a corn starch or flour slurry Thanks

    • @recipe30
      @recipe30  Před 3 lety +2

      You have to reduce it longer, the liquid should almost evaporate.

    • @1043dawn
      @1043dawn Před 3 lety

      @@recipe30 yes, I did that but also added some more passata, a jar of good marinara, some fresh basil and dried oregano.. in the end it was good but ....should the recipe actually be only one cup? Absolutely love your recipes!

  • @naynay5637
    @naynay5637 Před 6 lety

    Pretty standard recipe here (except for the added tomato puree). A couple of thoughts: 1) Should attempt to brown the meat further than that. Try to get it nice and dark and caramelized. Adds more umami flavor in the end. 2) Tagliatelle pasta would soak up the sauce better than spaghetti noodles would....there's little point in mixing in something as thin as that into your sauce before plating.

      I disagree on both counts but that's what makes cooking so great, we all have different styles :)
