- Welcome to our Video @johnthefirearmsinstructor ,we will walk you through a 5-step shooting range routine that will help you improve your confidence and accuracy. Are you ready to become a sharpshooter? Let's get started!
Step 1: Warm Up
Before you hit the shooting range, it's important to warm up your body and mind. Start with some light stretching exercises and take a few moments to visualize your goals for the session. This will help you focus and mentally prepare for the challenge ahead.
Step 2: Stance and Grip
Now that you're warmed up, it's time to perfect your stance and grip. Stand with your feet shoulder-width apart, and firmly grip the firearm, keeping a relaxed but firm hold. Remember to keep your body aligned and maintain a stable base to ensure maximum control and stability during your shots.
Step 3: Sight Alignment and Picture
Next, let's work on your sight alignment and picture. Align the front and rear sights of your firearm, focusing on keeping them centered and level. Once your sights are aligned, create a clear mental picture of your target. This visualization will help you maintain focus and improve your accuracy.
Step 4: Trigger Control
Now that your sights are aligned, it's time to work on your trigger control. Place your finger on the trigger pad and apply smooth, steady pressure. Avoid jerking or flinching when pulling the trigger. Practice this technique to build muscle memory and improve your shot consistency.
Step 5: Follow-Through
The final step is follow-through. After taking your shot, maintain focus on your target and observe the impact. If your shot was off, analyze what went wrong and make necessary adjustments. Remember, follow-through is crucial for building muscle memory and improving your overall accuracy.
And there you have it - a 5-step shooting range routine to help you improve your confidence and accuracy. Remember to practice regularly and be patient with yourself. With time and dedication, you'll become a master of accuracy!

Dry Fire helped me immensely. 20 + year gun owner here. At home I have a couple c02 pellet pistols that I use to dry fire - aiming at a dart board center mass. The exercise involves dry firing with all the fundamentals making sure that front sight does not move as the gun “discharges.” Helped me out on my last range session. At the range I also dry fire a couple times making sure all fundamentals are good before taking that first shot.
