- In the fall, we finally took a vacation and headed to the Normandy coastal town of Cabourg.
I had breakfast on the terrace of a five star hotel, walked along the beach and was completely relaxed during my short stay.

The five-star hotel "Le Grand Hotel", the writer Marcel Proust said that room 414 was his favorite.
It's a seaside location, so even though it's a five star hotel, everyone wore casual clothes and we were able to relax while we were there.
This is common in European hotels, but there was no toothbrush in the supplies even for a five star.
For breakfast, you have the choice between the restaurant or room service.
During our stay, the price of the room per night was around 618 euros (breakfast included).
Prices vary greatly depending on the time of year, so please compare prices on different sites.

The museum is dedicated to the writer Marcel Proust and the Belle Epoque.
It's small, but worth seeing paintings, interiors and digital art.
Since there is a cafe area, it was very nice to be able to take a break after finishing watching.

If you face the sea and walk all the way to the left you will arrive.
We had wine steamed mussels which were very good and reasonably priced.
There was a place where you could choose to have fries or not, so we were able to finish the meal without leaving any leftovers by sharing one fries between two people.
I thought it would have been better if I had been here on the first day too.

かく言う私も秋のリゾートが性に合うようで、人のいない所へ宿を取ります。と言っても観音崎の季節外れのホテルへ泊まるくらいですが。夏場の喧騒を思いながら、行く季節を惜しむのが好きだったのですが、今年の秋で長年通っていたホテルがクローズすることになり、寂しさはひとしおでした。ノルマンディーはパリより北に在るから気候も避暑に向いているのでしょうか。フランスの地方都市は時代が止まっているようで、魅力的です。それと、動画途中で、手紙に映像が重なったり、写真立ての女性が動いたりするのは、そういう仕掛けなのですか？雰囲気を超えた先端性に驚きます。テラスでの朝食、シチュエーションも内容も極上過ぎですね。
人がいないシーズンは落ち着いていて良いですよね。「夏場の喧騒を思いながら、行く季節を惜しむのが好き」まさに醍醐味ですね✨
お気に入りのホテルがクローズ、やはりコロナが影響しているのでしょうか…さみしいですね。
パリから海へ目指すとノルマンディーが一番近いのですが、オンフルールやドーヴィルのほうが有名でしょうね。
パリより北に位置するので気候はどうでしょうか…いつも季節を外して行くので夏がどれぐらい過ごしやすいかはわからないのですが、パリでも日本より湿度が低くて過ごしやすいのでノルマンディーも過ごしやすいかもしれませんね。
今回訪れた博物館は数年前にオープンしたばかりのようで、仕掛けも現代風で面白かったです。
映像以外の場所でも写真立ての写真が動いていて、楽しい仕掛けだなぁと感心しました。

My friends are always dragging me to museums against my will. There is nothing to eat and nowhere to sit down. The same is true of beaches. I was in the American Navy years ago and I loved going to sea, but I have never liked beaches. I want to eat in a cafe. You make beautiful videos.

博物館で見たベルエポック期の女性たちの装いが豪華でしたね✨しかし、コルセットで締め上げていると食事はたっぷり食べられないだろうなぁと、食いしん坊目線で見てしまいましたよ😂
海辺を馬車が走っていたのですが、乗ってみたかったです。しかしどこにもそのようなアクティビティーがあるとは記されておらず、ひょっとしたら幻…ではないでしょうが、もしかしたら競走馬の訓練だったのかも？と想像しています。

J'étais aussi en Normandie, la dernière semaine de septembre, mais un peu plus bas sur la côte. Comme la Normandie est délicieuse après l'été. Il n'y a presque plus personne et les villes sont facilement accessibles. Il faut juste composer avec le temps de début d'automne. Merci pour cette belle video.

Violetのジェラートはローズなんかもそうですけど、香りを味わうって感じで優雅でとてもよかったです💗
海側の家はそうですね、塩害などもあって大変でしょうね。憧れはあっても手入れを考えるとやはりそういった面もクリア出来る富裕層の方々でないと持てないものかもしれませんね😊

ルグランホテルの歴史はどうなんでしょうか…ベルエポック期の栄えた時代にオープンしたのではないかと思います。
ムール貝をいただいたレストランの住所の名前はプロムナード・マルセル・プルーストでしたので、やはりそう古い歴史ではないのかもしれません。
五つ星といえども、気取った雰囲気がなくてリゾート地ならではの良い感じにくだけたようなリラックス感がありました。
ドーヴィルはカブールから東にあってパリからのアクセスも良いみたいですね！ドーヴィルのほうが規模が大きく有名ですよね。
カブールは車で行ったので電車は…乗り換えとタクシーが必要かもしれないです。
こじんまりとした落ち着きある町なので、のんびりするには良いと思いますよ🎵

自宅のｵｰﾌﾞﾝはそれ程大型ではないので😅何度も繰り返し作り…可愛いｼｰﾄに包んだ記憶が😅それにしても🙄ものすごい邸宅ですね🤔一体どんな人達が住んでいるのかしら?余りにも豪華すぎて😵💫言葉が出ません😂建物も個性的でまるで異世界のような...こんな場所に住んだら見る夢も違ってきそう☺
海は数回しか行った事がありません…それも海水浴がメインなので🙄ひたすら子供たちの泳ぐ様子を見るのみで😅自分のこと等…かまっていられませんでした😅こんな大きくて壮大な海じゃないけれど😅私も海が見たくなりました😊ジェラートｱｲｽｸﾘｰﾑも美味しそう🍨

カブールは初めて訪れたのですが、ここが富裕層の方々のセカンドハウスが建ち並ぶ場所とは行ってから知りました。
本当に豪華な家々で、お手入れも大変なんだろうな～と思いますが美しい海を日々眺められるなんて素敵ですよね。

優雅な大人の旅でしたね。夏は多くのバカンス客で街も混むのでしょうか。ずらすしたくらいが落ち着いていい感じかな。
カブールは小さな街なので夏を過ぎるとより一層落ち着いてるようで、子供さんの姿もほぼありませんでした。
カブールより東にあるドーヴィルやオンフルールのほうが有名なのでそちらならここより人が多いのかもしれません🎵

This is my favorite so far! Music A+ and some guitar, yes. Food, yum, yum and more yum, I ignored the shellfish things on the table. And then drone footage and a ghost. But best was the "Belle Epoch" museum.

The fishing was good, we really enjoyed the seafood and other fish (which are not on the video)
The museum, I loved it (especially the paintings of the exhibition)
Everything was at the top, it's a pity that we had to go back to Paris but we'll go back there.
