The fact that cleaning this pump is a routine job where almost every other washing machine has some easily accessible panel tells you all you need to know about which machine to get. Electrolux knew about this problem and made many frontloaders with an accessible pump panel. A five minute DIY quick fix becomes $300 worth of labor, and for no reason.

Yeah - call it a stackable washer dryer and then tell you to "tilt the washer back to get to the filter undeneath. Last Electrolux appliance EVER in my LIFE

@@Spirited_Driver smack in the center of the washer underneath the tub. And to get to it you have to take the top panel off the washer first to get to the screws to undo the front panel. Then you can either remove the drain pump or the heavy counterweight that bolted on to the drum so you can reach fat enough in to get at it

Thank you very much for making this video. My water pump was ok, but I needed to clean out the clogged pump filter and this helped immensely showing me how to get to the pump and filter inside the machine. Cannot fathom why Electrolux would put a filter that needs routine maintenance inside the machine rather than having an external access to the filter. Poor design. Should fire that engineer and whoever approved it.

Thank you so much for this video. Huge help. My pump was fine just had a rock stuck in the impeller. I wish they would have made the clean out more accessible. Sucks even worse when you have the dryer stacked on top.

Having bought a replacement pump for £70, I'm going to have to buy a new washing machine. I've looked at quite a few of these instruction vids but they're not like my 7yr old Electrolux. The control facial is secured by screws from the inside ! And the front panel of my machine is not secured by screws at the front bottom. The whole front goes underneath & would require either jacking the machine up to get underneath to undo bolts, or tipping it completely on it's back. It's far too difficult.

Oh gosh. I was going to have a go myself. Will I ever remember where everything went?

Hi. I've ordered & have just received my replacement pump. I'm going to have a go myself, but the part that I have is literally just the pump - not the white part where the hoses attach. It looks like that unit just twists on - yes ? But, also, your pump is attacked to the mount - mine is just the pump - is it just a case of screwing it onto the mount with those side screws (see one at 4.05) ? Also, it doesn't have that cream cover & front - does that just clip on the top 🎉or something? Help please !!

We have an Electrolux Luxcare set, only 4 months old. Noticed sometimes there is a puddle of water on the floor under the front of the washer. I suspect it's got something clogged in the drain or filter. It's ridiculous that you have to take the machine apart to clean the drain. Every other machine I've had has an access panel. Unreal.

  • @KaoriKino

So it's in the front-right-bottom but you have to take off the top and the front and the door seal... okay.
Kind of a lot for DIY, but not impossible.
