Being an ex-Supervan owner brings me here, started on 2 wheels and like many back in the day a Reliant was a warm, dry escape in the winter. Gave me good driving experience and went on to pass my test 1st time with no lessons. Good luck with the move, keep us updated and have a sub!

The MK2 Cav holds a special place in my heart as it's the car i came home in after i was born, my dad and me taking it out every weekend for my Grandma. As it was A Reg one and had no rear seatbelts i could sit in the front belted up in a booster seat.
Thats a superb story and great memories to have in the old cav, i have memories in this one too, it was actually the 1st car i ever drove age 10 ! Not on a public road of course, great memories, you can imagine how i felt after last years accident 🙈😭
But it could have been worse eg tyre blowout causing it to rollover, being side swiped, pinched and set on fire, rotted away etc. It's one of the luckier mk2 Cav's it didn't happen to. Morsel and Motors has just got a Y Reg 1.6 L. Not much different to my dad's other than it being in a different colour and having the standard 4 speed box unlike my dad who went for the optional 5 speed box due to lots of motorway driving as he was a travelling salesman. He said it always used to over 40mpg and never let him down.
@@jaggass deffo, mine is a 5spd too, it does tons to the gallon being a 1.3 too 👍👍

I started watching your videos because I’m a Reliant owner myself, but I have been enjoying the rest of them as well. I don’t envy you moving house with all the stuff you must have in that garage. Best of luck and happy new year to you all at Mec-Tec mansion.

Good see the MK2 Cav and glad you went for a genuine Vauxhall one as it will fit properly too. New crossmembers and second hand valances are still available too. Not too expensive to put right
Deffo mate, i have found a genuine x member just the lower valance to find now and we can get things moving 🤞🤞👍👍

Happy New year, hope the move goes smoothly! I'm the (previous) Lotus owners Son, I have some fantastic memories of that car, it wasn't easy seeing it sitting there all those years!
