Eventinggggggggg vlogs!!!!!!
The positivity you have about the whole day even though it didn’t go like you hoped is just lovely to hear!
Ahhh thank you! She was a good girl 👏🏻
I nearly choked on my Easter egg from laughing so much because I was thinking before watching this that my competition vlog would consist of me spending half an hour trying to load my mare into my equitrek 😂😂
Hahahah, she wasn’t vibing it that morning 😂
I lived in Oasby from the age of 2 to 18. I recognise those fields from when i used to go exploring. God i miss it now I live in urban yorkshire.
I so enjoyed watching this video !!!! So entertaining. You and your beautiful Laragh and your dear friend Maddy kept a smile on my face for the entire event. I felt like I was part of it.
Looking forward to more videos in the future!
Personally I loved the dressage test. She was a coiled spring, and as a bystander they're always the most fun to watch as you're just waiting for the explosion. From a judges point of view however, she was very tense throughout, but having followed your vlogs and seen how she can be, I thought your riding was excellent.
I want Lara so much!
Great effort Lucy. The cc announcer really was a good advertiser for you.
Experience and fun. I've heard you mention before about loading Laraugh but hadn't seen it until this vlog. I have had mostly mares through out my years and they are different from geldings and stallions. I believe it's because they're smarter. None-the-less they do have their little 'fits' on occasion such as the which direction to load argument. Have to admit she is one power horse. So happy Abby went with you. Can't wait for your next event. Oh.....and the prep vlog. Yes, liked having Oasby before the prep vlog. Thank you for your thoughtfulness. Cheers & stay safe.🐎🐎💖😎
My next event is sooner than I thought (tomorrow 😂) so they’ll be another Eventing vlog on Monday!
She enjoys cross country so much!! A keen horse is better than one you have to keep pushing to go! I'm jealous of how well she squared up on the centerline as well! Awesome job you two! 👏
You do stay so positive, I love it... I also like to see that things don’t always go perfect, like loading🤣.
Eventing vlogs are back yaaaay!!!!
Woohoo finally found your channel.... I see you so much on Megan's channel. Been looking for your channel for so long🙂xx
Great partnership guys. Love this combo
Well done for the test! Your commentary was grounded and fab and light hearted! You know your horse and can pat yourself on the back for the little wins in this test xxx❤️ it was great to watch and listen to!
Thanks so much Lyn glad you enjoyed 💙
Whoop whoop! Eventing vlog!! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Yay!! Soooo excited to see you out eventing xx
Well done!! Looking good xx
Can I just say that you and laragh are such a good pair and you look so good together xx
Ahhh thanks Hollie! 💙
My horse is a keen bean too. He hasn't competed yet but I suspect that when he does, it will very similar. Looks like a fun day was had.
Loving the longer videos, can't wait to keep watching... sooo excited 😆😍
So exciting. Well done 🍀💚🍀
You guys did great!
She looks like such a fun horse, well done 😍👏
Can't wait to see more event vlogs/videos they are super exiting😁
Woohoo an eventing vlog. Well done Lucy and laragh. First run done and looked fabulous x
It was fun to watch xx
Yayyy! Everyone’s getting out eventing again! Getting back in the saddle tomorrow for the first time since December! Very ready to chill out with lots of horsey videos tonight!
So excited xxx
Love the video can’t wait for more event vlogs!! Can’t wait to go to my first event in less than two weeks!!
I also did oasby as my first event last year but in the BE100
I absolutely love your channel and also nice 4X4 too. The ultimate equipment and equestrian lifestyle in this video summed up.
Exciting x
Well done Lucy! You both enjoyed it, that's the main thing.
Now you KNOW I clicked like as soon as I opened the vid!! Also loved how the comentator kept name dropping your CZcams channel 😂
He did a great job didn’t he 😂😂
Fantastic Lucy, first event if season.. always full of beans
First event vlog of 2021 I’ve watched 👀 Well done - you can’t fault Laragh’s enthusiasm 🤣
A for effort that’s for sure 😂😂
3rd! I think that is the earliest I have ever been for a video. I competed for the first time this year today too. Well done xx
I think I’m going to call Laura Lee speedy consoles done really well proud of you laugh at you trying to load her who serpose to go in first you or Lara lee 😂 love to you and your ponies
Love your vlogs! Well done for staying positive and just trying to do right by your horse. At least it was another experience to learn from!
Always an experience with Laragh 😂😂
Atlast! An eventing vlog. I have really missed these. I've worn out watching all the others over and over.
Amazing vlog! You and Laragh did an awesome job.
Thank you 😊 💙
loved this vlog so excited that you are back out here's to a summer of fun and vlogs .
Thanks for watching! Pleased you enjoyed it 💙
Great Job Lucy !!! You staid on, completed each test, and had a fun day with your friend and horse. That’s a successful day !!! Cheers to you... 🥰🐴🤩
That was so Fun!!
I love your lovely positive attitude ! Well done!
Thanks Susan!
Such a fun Vlog Lucy, it was fantastic to see Laragh enjoying her day out eventing. It looks like you both had a smashing day out after being on lockdown. You are quite right it isn't just about the numbers on a piece of paper, it's the experiences, fun and memorable moments you have in life. Can't wait till the next Vlog. Chow for now.❤️
first event vlog yayyy!!!
Congratulations on a positive first event of the season! I think you rode very tactfully for the first two phases, we've all been there trying to get through a dressage test or a stadium round on a fit horse! I think you had quite a few nice moments even with the tension. Of course, xc is where Laragh really shines and she looked so happy to be back out💜 Looking forward to the next one!
Well done. Blooming heck she was like a rocket. Really enjoyed this xx
Hahah I can never fault her enthusiasm!!
your plaits are so good omg! im very jealous haha
This was a very refreshing and real vlog, Lucy! It was great to see your little moment with loading, as we all have them! Considering how wired she was for dressage I think you did impeccably well and, hey, like you said; first one of the season and it’s onwards and upwards from here!! I really enjoyed this vlog Luce!
I saw you and Laragh Lee you looked amazing! So smart !
Ahh were you there toooo 👏🏻
Even though you guys had some hairy moments, you guys did great out there! You guys are a great team. I thought you rode through her tenseness in the dressage super well!
Thanks so much! Never a dull day 😂
This was perfect to watch . And you did so well .
Thank you! 💙
Lara is an absolute star !!
LOVE LOVE LOVE! X
Well done Lucy x
I can completely relate to this video. I've been dragged around many an event, was well known for being fast cross country and my best Dressage Test was in deep mud which slowed him down enough to do a nice test. But he was a machine over the jumps. I can give you hope because in his later years he excelled in the Dressage, finally!
Hahah YES! I love that. My best test was in heavy rain so she kept her head down and just trundled through it 😂 But I’m hopeful for this weekend 🤞🏻🤞🏻
When you were going to load Laraugh she was literally like, ‘See ya, I’m going to eat more green stuff!’ Good luck with the event hope you do well!🌳🏇🏽🌳
Hahaha byeeeeeeee she’s so funny
Hi Lucy Laragh was strong she’s so pretty when she shot off with you at home sure brought back memories of my days with the hot thoroughbreds I had to use the chifney on a stallion I looked after and occasionally got dragged around 😂 things things we do for our love of horses hey.You are a cracking little rider and I really enjoyed your first event and look forward to many more. Tfs😎
Thanks for watching Christine! 💙
Yayy longer vlog! I think you should definitely buy the video so you can compare your first event of the year to the last after your horse and country training 🤗
Good plan!! I may have to invest!
I really felt for you in the dressage! It’s such a horrible feeling when they feel like a bottle of pop and you just have to smile on top and try to keep them together. I think you rode her really well considering how tense she was, you made the most of a bad test and it could have been a lot worse! Clearly Laragh had a fantastic day out bless her... her enthusiasm is great haha! Well ridden and well done. X
I’m used to smiling through gritted teeth in the first phase 😂😂 thanks so much 💙💙
You did a fabulous job of riding the rocket called Laragh. Seriously, I thought that walk down the centre and the beautiful halt at the end were gorgeous. Laragh is a real beauty. Have you ever watched any Warick Schiller videos -- he travels the world giving clinics on solving various problems, especially anxiety. He has a lovely, kind approach and it seems there isn't a horse he can't help with. Just a thought. I know in another vlog, you mentioned you have a trainer, so clearly you've done loads of work on this already. And, kudos to you for making the best of Laragh's enthusiasm and enjoying your rides with her. Looking forward to watching more vlogs with the two of you. Thank you for sharing Bonnie and Laragh and pooches with us.
Brilliant vlog! Ignore the scores you both were fantastic 🙌🏼 Bet the 100 is the answer for her speed in sj? Can’t wait to watch the next one
Thanks so much Sian! Yes she’s better in the 100, I just need to trust our partnership as we’re both more than capable of stepping back up!
Loved the vlog. I think the tone was set when you tried to lead Laragh to the trailer, she definitely had her own plans🙂. She barely broke a sweat, she is super fit. At least you stayed in the dressage arena, it could have been a lot worse. She is a superstar. You both enjoyed yourselves, as you said, it's the experience that counts, and coming home safely ❤.
You’re right she was hardly sweaty at all! Thanks for watching 💙
I’ve literally found your CZcams channel today and your videos are so addicting! 😅 I also wanna mention that Laragh (?) is basically my dream horse (an ISH or TB x) 🥰
Ah thanks for watching!! Yes she’s such a babe 😍
YAY FINALLY!!!!!!!
I love how they just shouted out your CZcams channel 😂 amazing
I know right, winning!! 😂
Good video Lucy
I love the long vlogs 😘
Lucy try calming cookie before every event and Lara will be better 😉👍
You know I’ve heard about these 🧐 I suppose that would be the real test wouldn’t it!!
I don't think I've ever seen a test here in Canada with a walk down centre line at the end like that. My mark would be 2, with the comment, "Jogged the whole time." You did it so well! Great first outing. You both looked like you were having lots of fun and you handled Laragh's extra enthusiasm really well. The new swag looks fab!
I think walking down the CL is cruel 😂 Thank you so much 💙💙
She was definitely keen to get to cross country she just wanted to get the two first phases out the way but considering she has been off competing for three lock downs etc she did good and things can only get better gives you something to work on and that is a good thing
it kind of reassures me seeing that sometimes such an experienced rider such as Lucy doesn’t always have things go perfectly (like when trying to load), it makes me realise that it happens to EVERYONE and it’s not just me 😁 big props to Lucy though i would have broken down and cried after that day 🤣🤣
I guess every first event will not be amazing, the more you can get out now and practice will be better!
Agh, the frustration I feel for you when loading 😫😫
Hahaha she makes me laugh, then she’ll just decide OK I want to load now 😂
Спасибо это Супер , ха ха ха 🌜👼🌛🌹💯🌠
You rode Laragh so well, especially in dressage. She didn’t make it easy but I think that’s what makes your partnership even better! Xx
Thanks so much! I can normally tell as soon as I get on her what her attitude to the dressage is going to be like 🙈 But it could have been worse!
You are the first one out of the gd squad to go eventing in 2021 z
Does Laragh ever JUST go and do a dressage test and then go home? I just wonder if she gets tense in dressage and SJ because she KNOWS what is coming
Good question! Yes we go out to do just pure dressage, and also pure SJ too. She’s just very clever and knows when we’re eventing 😂
@@footluceeventing I wonder if she checks the tack room lol
"I See both saddles. Muahaha"
Yay 🙌 xxx
Hey hope you ok after your comment on Ems vlog last night ❤️
and thats on having a mare
I think u did well 😌😌✌✌
Thank you 🥰
Well done. It's a shame the SJ is not after the XC. Is that always the order in ODE's? X
I know right 😂 Yes in ODEs XC is always last-sadly! X
Hello everyone
I think you need some brakes Lucy. Exciting though.
🙈🙈🙈
The announcer mentioning your channel cracked me up😂
She stunning. I always thought they should put the dressage either at middle or end. To help "fun" horse's
Thank you, and I agree 😂😂
🚀🚀🚀🐎😍👌
Why was she frothing? Just a question
Last time I aventet my horse just stood at a jump
Not a hate comment.
I was always told that a horse travelling alone should be on the drivers side of the trailer/lorry, or heaviest horse on drivers side if in a pair. This is to help prevent the vehicle tipping.
I have noticed Lara is loaded on the passenger side. Is your trailer different to others?
No hate meant just curious
Ah yes! With an Equitrek it’s a bit different, supposedly the horse is supposed to travel on the far side to counteract the weight of the ramp! Which I suppose makes sense 😊
@@footluceeventing oh ues didn't think of that. Thank you for answering so quickly
I see I’m not the only one who has had trouble with loading my patchyt*%t 😂
START WATCHING WARWICK SCHILLER
Oh my gosh has anyone ever told u , u look like Lorelia Gilmore From the Gilmore Girls!!!!!😲
Hahah I had to Google her 😂 But no they haven’t! You’re the first 👏🏻
NINTH 😜💙
Hi Tina!! Lovely to see you in the comments supporting the VE squad xx
@@mel1402 always keen to support my gals 😜
😂❤️❤️
Last
Just for my understanding: why do you wear spurs for XC when she is already so forward?
Speed and impulsion are different things.
Spurs aren't for faster they are for over anyway and controlling speed.
Good question! I don’t wear spurs for speed but for impulsion. So I won’t ‘use’ them on the way round, only before a fence to encourage her (if I need to!) basically like a back up plan. They’re the rolly ball ones so quite inoffensive 😂
100th comment 😂
How am I the first x
You are the first one out of the ve sqaud to go be in 2021 x
Ohhh I am second
Wooop well done 👏🏻
I Hope you give me your old boots plz
the video image is too poor, you need to fix it more
