The lead singer, Will Ramos, is a super nice and funny dude. He's also becoming a pretty big CZcamsr in his own right and he's started doing reaction videos too! Austin Archey, the drummer, is a freaking maniac, dude. I don't know how the man has the energy to pound those drums the way that he does for 6-7 minutes non stop.
Being super relaxed is key. For live shows, Austin sleeps right up until it's time to go on-stage.
I loved your reaction! I really appreciate, even though its not your favorite musicgenre you still appreciate the talent behind it. Few weeks ago i've seen them live. I was still on a cloud from Epica's performance right before them, then got my face screamed off by Will Ramos ( this lead singer) and i loved every second of it! It was an amazing experience.

Often when people dip their toes into extreme metal they keep asking "how do you understand the lyrics" but I've been a metal head for many years and if I'm honest I've never understood most of the lyrics of a band like Lorna Shore. Unlike other styles, the lyrics of metal (while often potent and carefully written) are not at all the focal point. Instead, focus on the many layers of the music, the way the guitars interweave, the different textures and moments in each part of the song. Metal is, at it's heart, a projection of power. The key for me was to learn to embrace and appreciate the millions of little elements intertwining to create this overwhelming tapestry of sonic intensity. Metal is exceptionally musically complex but is often misinterpreted as "noise" because it is such an assault to the senses.
Based on your reaction, you may be just a few songs away from becoming a metalhead yourself 😋
I feel about the same here. Vocals are just another instrument and I care for the lyrics about as much as I do sheet music notation or chord progressions.
The crazy thing is the lyrics are really good, poetic, he has so many good songs and if you pull the lyrics up and follow and listen you start to hear every word, if you do anymore i would suggest doing the trilogy, or if you really want to be mind blown pull up his sleep token cover
I went to a Lorna Shore show earlier this month, and it was one of the loudest shows I have ever been to. It was absolutely fantastic! If you really want to see just how insanely talented Will, the vocalist is, he has his own CZcams channel where he posts one-take performances of Lorna Shore songs

I've seen them live twice. With ear plugs, one of thee best bands to see live. Will's vocals are absolutely amazing. The instruments are epic. A must see live band.

This type of metal is more about the "feeling" it gives you. If you listen to these songs and read along with the lyrics the next time you listen to it you can pick up on what he is saying.

I commend you sir. \m/ Will Ramos (the singer) is an absolute sweetheart in person. I just went to a Lorna Shore concert a few months ago and the mutual love and respect among the concert goers despite the moshing and crowd surfing is something best experienced in person. Will kept reminding the crowd to drink their water because he didn't want to see anyone getting dehydrated. It was lovely. Metal concerts are one of the few scenarios that don't trigger my social anxiety.
This is one of my favorite bands… the things that Will Ramos can do with his vocal chords is insane

I'm seeing these guys live next week and I cannot wait. On the understanding the lyrics part, once your ear is trained enough you can pick a lot of stuff out but it depends on the vocalists delivery, some are easier than others to understand and some are straight unintelligible. That said, with metal although still an important role the vocals aren't always the main driving force of the song, they're often just used as another layer of instrumentation and are much more part of the overall composition. This is why they tend to sit further back in the mix as compared to a pop song where they're the central focus point.

Will has incredible vocals you start to understand him after repeated listening to his vocals. When i started listening to Lorna Shore i listened to the music and wills vocals as another instrument. the understanding of the lyrics came with time.

Dude this kinda stuff live is something that you NEED to experience. The shows are cheap, the people are FANTASTIC(like some of the nicest people you’ll meet at a show) and the energy is out of this world. If you are still worried I’ll tell you from experience, if and when you fall down people will stop and have you picked back up to your feet before you even realize you fell down! Just go and have a blast

It’s really best to read along with the lyrics first few times and you’ll be amazed how clear the lyrics actually become man. I’ve been to probably 30 or so concerts ranging from rock to metal to even rap and pop, and I’m confident saying that Lorna Shore was my absolute favorite one. Bro people will love you for trying this lol there is an ocean of stuff out here like this that people have no idea about. There is even far heavier and insane music similar to this. But like most things, you have to work up to it. The first time I heard Infant Annihilator I was like "that's barely music at all" and now I listen to it on my way to work every day 🤣 this vocalist Will Ramos was heavily inspired by Infant Annihilator's vocalist Dickie Allen. But i wouldn't jump straight into that yet lol you should definitely listen to more Lorna if this video gets more likes. Pain Remains 1 has lyrics in the video and it's gonna surprise the hell out of you and get you in the feels. Subscribed.
