Just a more optimized way to achieve the same result(Done using oracle) :- select oyear,count(distinct customerid) Totalcustomer , count(distinct case when oyear=c_min_orderyear then customerid end ) Newcustomer, count(distinct customerid) -count(distinct case when oyear=c_min_orderyear then customerid end ) Existingcustomer from( select extract(YEAR FROM orderDate) oyear,customerid, EXTRACT(year from min (orderdate)over(partition by customerid)) c_min_orderyear from orders) group by oyear;

I dont understand the algorithm used in SQL if order_date(for example, 2019) equals to first_customer_year(2018) then "New" customer but 2019 doesn't equal to 2018 order date. It is confusing for me, can you please help me understand this?

I mean one should learn things like tableau or power BI and SQL by their own or it is a good option to enroll into such courses?
How to load that excel file into the workbench? I renamed the file and gave it .csv extension, but not able to load it using 'table data import wizard' after creating a schema. Please help!
