Looks like a bunch of fetch quests and static NPCs... nothing new to see here.
Dayz kicks this into the mud. I looks great, but gameplay looks jank, gunplay looks shit, no voip??? Wtf.. it's a no for me for now. Hopefully they go back and make changes, but I won't buy this until it's better
The devs said this was an open world zombie survival game, what I've seen from watching you both, it's not that at all but a Tarkov type extraction shooter. Not what was advertised. I won't be bothering with it. I'll be sticking with DayZ thanks.
The worlds open, there’s zombies well all 10 of them lol and it’s a loot to survive so devs wasn’t wrong. 🤣

First impression is freaking great for the small team dev who pulled this out within 3 years is really amazing. Porting the game from unreal engine 4 to unreal engine 5 is why made me excited. Many freelancer dev team didn't get paid for working on this game.

In your inventory you have a Case thing where you can place your ammo for example and if you die it will respawn with you , that is what most people do, even if you loot them usually you can take they guns and ammo in the said guns only.... hiding the valuable stuff like that... i find it strange that no one so far in your chat did not mention it and i am half way in watching the video... So sad i missed the actual stream! :( Hope to see you guys giving it another go... now i go back to watching the video... i will probably edit my message if i see anything else to point out.. or just add to it haha All the best!
Apparantly, the " case" bottom right inventory, is to secure your loot. Kind of like insurance if you die.

They should have made this game a Mystery game where other areas open creating a massive area once you find them. Also the zombies should start out appearing sparse but slowly turn into hordes all over. Slowly over time marauder groups form forts.

The A.I voice acting is terrible, no vaulting, no melee, these are the most basic things you need.
The voices are fine wtf. And they already told us this and that they are putting it in soon and that they will be fixing it.

@@damiancherry Yes but this is a launch, if basic mechanics like vaulting and melee combat are missing, that's going to disappoint people, regardless of what promises a dev makes that it's "coming soon". All the basic mechanics of a looter shooter should be present and playable at launch.
@hankkingsley9183 the fact that it has mutated into a looters shooter with similarities to tarkov, instead of the openworld DayZ-esque feel that was INITIALLY advertised in the first place is already a shame. Those initial videos were so frickin dope.
When you're in your storage in the bottom right there's a case, when you die you keep those items
I know it might be impossible, but it would be awesome to see a game like this come out and you guys calling Running Man and Anarchy and explore it together. It would be amazing to hear all of you enjoying the new game at the same time. Just saying.

Yeah it literally went from unplayable to enjoyable.
It’s completely different, though Day z , standalone came from a mod nobody expected it to be at AAA title. We had low expectations and were blown away by it
But not this one -
is just a shame . It’s not AAA and if it was supposed to be, they would have the early mechanic sorted out like vaulting and looting and PVP and all that stuff we would expect bugs but not this this is terrible
@@willpugh8865 bruh did u check the studio whick created the day before? all of their earlier game were pretty crappy and if u compare it to bohemia, bohemia made some solid games before dayz so maybe dont expect too much from an early access game in the first 6 hours of uptime. dayz was likely unplayable for like 3 years straight with much more performance sound and other issues, like zombies glitchting trough walls stairs and so on the sound was absolutly terrible back in the days and the pvp was clonky af.. overall dayz was unplayable until 2017/2018 and started in end of 2013 so thats 5 years from EA to a "full game" while the "full game" was still overgrown with gamebreaking bugs like tp under map etc etc so i would say the day before is pretty sold for its early state
Mate the DayZ mod had everything! All worked great, then standalone came out with 4 guns and messed up zombies and very little of them. I haven't even played this and prob wont till i see what they do.@@willpugh8865

İ think it looks quite nice but I don't know what the main goal is playing it. I mean for me as an old fart I would love to see a mix of GTA (story and singleplayerwise), scum and day Z for the survival elements. Because I appreciate a good single player mode or story line, because I don't always want to play multiplayer and just run around try to loot and build something only waiting to get killed and raided and start all over again. For me scum would be that game if it had zombies and normal NPC's in it. I love the realism when it comes to the survival and health system elements.
But a game without any goal is just a waste of time for me.
It's honestly worse than I expected. I did not expect the fake gun audio in the background that never gets any closer. Shocking to be honest.
It cracks me up how when you went to speak to Dr. Leonard he said "Just yesterday we weren't sure if you'd be okay!" So you're healthy enough to run, get issued a gun, go fight, but yesterday the doctor "wasn't sure" if you'd live? Either you made a literally miraculous recovery, or else I have a feeling this guy might not be an actual doctor. Watch, we're gonna find out that ol' "Doctor" Leonard was actually a doctor of law before the collapse lmao.
Id like you to play more of this.... Im not emotionally prepared to buy yet

i think your hideout should be in the same map where other players can come across it, coz what's the point doing it up if you cant show it off or it getting raided like dayz. it needs a risk feel to it

I have watched other streams play this game and they don’t know to loot. But I have watched y’all dayz streams so I know y’all know how to loot.
Watching John play today was fun to watch! The actual game was lacking alot in my opinion
The game just gonna need a lot of work. Maybe time will help also for them to change or add things to the game? But definitely something has to happen to make it better than what it is, only time will tell.
I think this game has great potential as a stand-alone game. Its not meant to be this-game or that-game so if people try to morph it into something else, of course they'll be disappointed. Its clearly Early Access and I think the dev's are looking for real gamers that will give informed and intelligent feedback, not just instantly jumping on the "its a scam!" train. It will be good if they continue to develop this. I'm keeping it. Thanks for the stream, it was fun to watch!
Considering the servers were full, this looked very empty, a few encounters but no where the amount I would have thought.

i wouldn't buy it myself, but if the people would get in the source codes and finish it for private servers i would play it. it looks really good to be fair but it wasn't ready for release at all.. back to DayZ for me. thanks for showing it, i was pretty curious, Cheers Mates!

Game’s purchase button was taken off Steam after company shut down just days after release. There was a statement released saying they will not be “receiving a dime” after they pay their investors and some of the employees. The owner of the company then deleted all personal social media sites and the internet is raging over it being a scam….was hoping for a more up-to-date Dayz…guess we’ll have to wait for Dayz 2…🤷🏼♂️

I got in to a server, game is indeed a bit buggy, needs in game voice chatting for sure, a bit unbalanced with the gear you can get lol

The only thing that would kill the game is if the devs company would shut down right, right?
After playing for 10 hours straight I can say it’s similar to tarkov, but more casual and instead of a countdown timer, your food & water will keep going down over the course of about 30 minutes, and you’ll die gradually when you run out. So you need to keep looting food which is only found in a few locations across the map, aswell as your quest items or head back to the safezone and replenish yourself.
I agree it needs VOIP, Vaulting, melee, better gunplay and FPS optimisation, but the bugs have been near enough neatened out just 2 days after release with the updates they have dropped. Not bad in my opinion, I can’t wait to see how it turns out in future updates. Definitely another DayZ situation let’s just hope the devs are as good as the DayZ devs 👍🏼
I also think they’ve gone for more of an “I am legend” feel with the zombies being more frequent in the night and in dark buildings in the daytime. I love it and can really see it being a solid game in the future, if the devs can put up with the battering they’re currently receiving.

Right from the beginning, this game is going to be just what I thought. A gun's power is determined by its attachments? Get real. 8 head shots to kill a zombie? Again, get real. The Division called. They want their worn out, tired game back.
I remember the first trailer on IGN and it started out in the wilderness. To find that the mud deformation and the forest are aren't even in the game I'm disappointed. They could at least try to make a survival game where teamwork was key and people had to help each other rather than the DayZ style shoot first ask questions later kind of thing.
The clip with the truck and the realistic mud is from a game called SnowRunner.
They just recorded a bit of gameplay from SnowRunner and added it in their trailer like if it was part of their own game... It's a pretty cool game, especially for when you just want to relax and do something else than killing some people. It's very realistic, there is 12 maps (24 with all DLC), a LOT of vehicles and a ton of missions.
I recommend it, very cool game.
somebody jump on DayZ with me. i came from console and finally trying to get into to PC side, but its so different. i ran around for 2 hours the other day and didnt see or hear a soul. i have no clue where people populate on PC servers
I dont think i would buy it yet. Maybe next year if they work on it. I do like what its supposed to be.

They do have a lot to work on. Visually it looks good, with a couple issues from what I have seen, but not as many as I thought it was going to have. There is no need for food from what I have seen. I know at the beginning of the game you start with a red flashing thirsty at the bottom left corner when you wake up, but there are no food or water meters to indicate when you are hungry or thirsty. I dont see the point of having a house if it's just for looks. I hope the developers stick with the game and listen to the players and make some much needed changes.
From what I've seen so far, it's constant alarms, and there is no Voip..
Otherwise looks pretty good.
Look are literally the last element to focus on in a game as a dev. Playability, new features, new modes, a fresh take on a genre... that's what gamers are looking for. Any dev can deliver eye candy.

after 2.4 hours already asked for a refund. My mate already lost whole storage of items - all just vanished. Graphics are the only good thing about this game. If you are looking for extraction shooter - tarkov is lightyears ahead of this game.

First impressions are it's a load of animal dung. Needs a lot and I mean she'd loads of work. Plenty of people have mentioned it's failings and my circle of the gaming community all say come back in a few months take another look
