I finally got my hands on that civic after hunting for awhile. They had 3. I wanted to take them all, but I only took 2 and left 1 for someone else who has been on the hunt for it.

This is Toronto. I’m calling out everyone here. This is a huge issue here on top of the fact that most stores get 1-2 cases that’s 10-20 chances total. I don’t disagree with with having more forsure by ordering it on ways other then hording of the shelf for resell

If there's a car that I really like such as that spoon, I walked into the store there were 3 of them hanging there I took all 3 of those 2 of the toyotas and one of the others. Yes I say buy as many as you want, use them for trade or even just a hold on to. Lots of times I'm not always grabbing the hard to get stuff just for myself, I do send some pieces off to other people that can not find it.

I totally agree with u if I could find them yes I would trade them .. I would keep only 2 open one and have one on card and trade any other to get what else I need for my collection.. I don't hate anyone that buys them all it's just they got there first .. better luck next time
I buy extra cars and sell them at the local flea market to people that don't have the time to hunt like I do. Everyone is happy. Pretty simple to me
I totally agree with you some hot wheels castings I collect multiples of them. I'm still on the hunt for this Honda Civic EG to complete the set and I can't wait to add it to my hot wheels collection.👍

You mention those solid case packs, a handful of years ago Walmart got solid 10ct entertainment cases. Remember a store having at least 3 pegs full of the simpsons family car and later years full cases of the Forza Raptor/Ecto-1.
I’ve seen by far more of the modern classics than I did other Car Culture Series this year but didn’t see a Civic, although in the long (multi year) run the VW/Toyota end up being popular as well.
It’s always hard to tell what will be that casting you think “I should have picked that up” for my collection while it was attainable.

I do not hoard no care for it. I usually buy two. One for me and one to trade. I have left desirable cars JDM cars on pegs. I want another collector to find it and not have to pay the hoarder prices for it.
I myself have benefited from someone else’s grace and found a desirable car hanging on the peg.
I know hoarders (not collectors) sometimes hoard too much and can’t sell them and so they end up returning them. I laugh when I see those random cars on the pegs.

Got myself 4 solid cases of the eg. And I found 12 on pegs. I ended up getting like 8-9 damaged ( chipped paint).
No lie i own 2 and i won't let go of them at all i see people selling them for pennies at the dollar insane underappreciated spoon Civic Eg

@@DieCashCars I do actually haha only shame was I went 0/4 on the chase with duds but its all about timing and when it hits stores.
Jcar is awesome, i live 20 minutes away from them so if theres a chase I'm looking for i will roll the dice on on a premium case and pick it up in person. Luckily i pulled the altezza chase from the modern classics case i got recently from jcar, that has been a tough one to find. I do hoard some castings to trade so i do agree with you.

Wow, it's disappointing that Mattel supports this behaviour when there are long term collectors who cant get one of these at Retail. You can justify it all you like, but imo keeping more than two is greedy and means somewhere, others are missing out. And yes I have left a STH on the peg when I found two of them one day.
I gave someone that honda and a couple days later he hooked me up with a m2 chase
I came across this Car Culture set, a week ago or so. I only got the Fiat 131. The others didn't interest me mostly because of the price. Since I don't trade or resell, a lot of the highly sought after castings are only second thoughts for me. I usually buy the ones I like if they become peg warmers, which is usually weeks after their initial release.
I’d actually agree with your views on this one. Completely open minded. It’s just a pet peave of mine to see other actually being greedy and only caring about the money. If I do also happen to hoard it would be to either customize or help out other friends on the lookout for those pieces. Jcardiecast does indeed have good prices too.

I add shipping and then take an overall average of sold listings…that’s not bad for the supra
EVERY WM in my area are usually picked clean of Car Culture. As far as "more than one", that's lame. I usually buy at least two. One to open and one to store away. JCar has NON of the Spoon Civics left so thanks for that. 😎 Luckily I live in Houston and am about 20 minutes away from James' store. Place is tiny, but COOL!
well being in europe, you cant find premiums in stores and i have to pay 13 dollars aprox per car if i buy the full set, if not its even more expensive, if i could find them in stores, at US prices i would hoard a few lol

the honda is the worst one in my opinion, why do all the normal one have normal colors no livery, but the spoon one? should of been in race day, id rather see the eg in a oem color.

I get the aggravation of not being able to get the ones you want. Happens to all of us, but I say buy whatever ya want. If i miss out I just have to trade or pay aftermarket at some point. Plus a lot of times where I'm at if I don't buy multiple we don't get new cars 🤷

The Civic is not even that special in the car world. The Corrado is far more beautiful and ground breaking.
2 or 3 is fine, but you get some people that farm the stores every day or pay people to let them know when diecast come in and they run there and buy everything.
Look at Floridaman, he goes every day to all the local stores and buys everything. If he finds a card thats bad, he’ll leave it and say “see I leave some behind”
that dude is a MENACE !!! I feel bad for ALL the collectors in his area and beyond.
