Very nice adaptation Eric! As someone else noted, it would be nice to incorporate a hold down which would make it safer to use & eliminate the push stick..................... :)
@Sapele Steve Thanks! It's tricky to use a clamp on a 2X2 leg taper, unless you build a special jig just for that size. You don't have much of a clamping surface near the hinge axis. I found I get better control with a bird's mouth push stick - but that's just me 🙂
@Michael Pack Yes, just like packaging, it is up to the viewer to read the description. You will see a similar disclaimer on most channels. If you're a beginner, CZcams is not the place to learn woodworking. I always advise beginners to go take a class at a certified trade school or community wood shop, with an experienced instructor.
I did this, but added a t-track & 2 10” homemade clamps across the jig to hold the piece in place.
I’m going to make mine like that. Thanks

I was just about to make one of these until Rockler put their taper jig on the Black Friday sale plus a 20% coupon. Total cost was around $38.00.

The link in your website for the big horn taper jig, gives me a security problem...
@Alex Arnz It works fine for me. Maybe try going to Google and type in: "Big Horn Taper Jig". That should work.
I never noticed your disclaimer before! Is it actually sufficient to protect you from idiots?
