Very true about how they made them tough in the past Lex. And many of today's problems are bc of the irresponsible ways ppl had utilized that freedom to do as they pleased with no self discipline or goal and basically having too much choice.. which is what freedom is about of course but it's worth pointing out how now many freedoms are being taken away by governments but also how a large majority of the West had exploited these freedoms becoming self indulgent lazy individuals. If they truly knew what it was like for our great grandparents and grandparents they would usually do better and strive harder to make a life of integrity, hard work and smart choices. A great listen with this conversation.

Yes. Agreed. Only those who lived it truly knew. The rest heard what our parents spoke about of our grandparents and those who studied true history books would understand intricately just how hard it was in those days. Sometimes too much of the good things are what's destroying us.. 😢

Parents don’t teach you everything. They teach you some things but everyone wants to be their own person. Credit doesn’t go to parents for everything. Never can. Ivanka is the most poised from her entire family. If it was a Trump thing, they’d all be that way but they’re not and they’d marry spouses who are as poised but they don’t. Ivanka and Jared are the most poised from the Trump family.
A reflection on her parents? His father cheated on her mother, he raped someone and lied about having slept with a porn star. Yeah, great father. He has 5 children from three different women. Unbelievable you feel that is something to be proud of.

At 74, finding myself being mentored by Ivanka. I truly appreciate her openness and gratitude for the wonderful, the challenges, and the love of her Mother.
Ivana was a strong yet humble person. She always entertained in interviews, the accent etc.. she was the American dream ❤.

@@SherrylandNC Not false at all. Many have speculated the timing of Ivana's passing bc it is a typical "trauma" causing event and way to throw a family off balance by weaponry. And they wanted to charge Trump on many things only Ivana was witness to and Ivana was also managing many of the properties they wanted to investigate. And she did it with an iron arm very well and without mistake. Yes, I am saying it's a possibility!!

It would be nice to ask about her mother's family, if Ivanka knew her grandparents, or if her mother had siblings. If she traveled to Czechoslovakia to visit her family. Did she learn Czech growing up? Maybe next interview. Would be interesting to know about her mom and her mom's family in that way. If she's in touch with extended family in the Czech Republic.

One of the reasons I held my breath and voted for Trump in 2016; his kids. They are all well grounded, individuals with a respect for their father. To me that demonstrated the man at home and his conduct with those he loves. You don’t raise great children without instilling in them the qualities needed for self-worth and self-discipline, his kids have these qualities in spades. It also speaks to them knowing they are loved by both their mother and father. His ex wives all respect him and he treats them fairly. “You shall know them by their fruits.” Matthew7:16 He may be bombastic and a fighter in public, but behind closed doors he’s another man.
Ivana played a huge role in that. In one of her interviews she mentioned that he wasn't a great father while kids were small and took his role seriously only when they grew bigger. Which looks like he fully accepts because he never spoke bad about his ex wife and always praised her as good mother. I think family accepted very traditional roles where mother was most important figure for the first decade to secure kids emotional intelligence and father took over to teach them skills needed to navigate in life.
Except for Jared and Ivanka, the sons are dependent on their father financially.

What ever your political views, there is no denying that Trump and his wives have raised fantastically well balanced, productive, capable children with strong family values and a love of their country.
Looking back at former President 's children with soooo many problems, addictions, anti social behaviour and immature rebelliousness, speaks volumes......
It's always those who have escaped from the brutality of communist regimes that most cherish the freedoms we're privileged with in the West, whereas those who have never experienced any different tend to take our liberties for granted.
Unlike the brats within our own country who have been taught to despise us.
Which is why TRUMP married 2 women from former communist countries... they are strong and resilient and independent, but not at all like the masculine femnazis of today.
When you realize what a strong and emotionally strong man her husband was to not feel threatened, by such a strong woman.
There is dialogue from D Trump though which basically mentioned why he split from her. I see it as different, opposite to what you write. A wanted a seperation from the "business" together.
The idiot was jealous and irritated with her success in helping him run his/their hotel business's. He couldn't cope with her strong personality. He pushed her out the door, very cruelly..

I’ve always looked up to Ivanka I always thought she was high minded, well spoken, and regal in her mannerism. I had a very hard , ascetic and rigorous upbringing because my parents were immigrants . I can resonate with Ivankas Eastern European side and the unpretentious ruggedness it creates in you, A toughness that’s unexplainable . Rest in paradise Ivana ❤

If he had suffered brain damage in the accident I could find compassion but I have none for the outcomes of his poor choices. He has a life and is wasting it, his mother and sister do not.

I live a fairly modest lifestyle, but I’ve lived with a lot less and I am grateful every day that I have a roof over my head that I have my mind and even though it’s aging, I still have a reasonably healthy body. I am thankful for cold clear freshwater at my disposal at all times. I keep a clean canteen of cool water beside me even at night. I wake up and I drink it. And I am so grateful. I cannot imagine what it would be like to not have water when you need it.I pray for the people who struggle with this

Had a heat stroke riding up a mountain a week ago. Yes I fantasized about ice water. That’s what kept me moving my legs at the extreme thirst and heat. On that day, I saw 82 bikers on that climb.
