Zeekr X is definitly more premium to Volvo EX30, I drove the X in the netherlands and price wise the X is amazing! You got more features like 22 kWh AC charging speed etc.... it feels very premium and has one pedal driving close to Tesla! size wise it's a Volvo XC40

When talking Geely hierarchy. If we compare with VAG then Lotus are Porsche, Polestar and Zeekr are Audi.. Volvo will be Volkswagon. Lync & Co are Skoda...

I totally disagree that Volvo is Volkswagen. Volvo's EM90 is more than Zeekr's 009 in China. Considerably more yet they are very similar looking cars that share a lot of components. Volvo's EX90 will cost as much as the Polestar 3. Volvo is a different style and the EX30 is smaller than the Zeekr X which is closer in size to the XC40. The whole point of the EX30 is an entry level "affordable" Volvo but with Volvo's more understated "Scandinavian" style. They weren't going for XC40 materials but even the XC40 doesn't have the level of lux material in it that the Zeeekr does. Volvo is going for sustainability, not plush materials. Volvo isn't Audi and Polestar isn't Audi. Volvo and Polestar are Euro premium and Zeekr is more Euro/Chinese premium but a lot of its styling is meant to appeal to the Chinese market, IMO. But they're moving away in that the Zeekr007 seems more understated and "global." I think Zeekr overlaps with Volvo and Polestar. The Polestar 4 is a lot different inside than the Zeekr001 yet the framework is clearly the same. The 4 seems simpler and less plush but still has a lux factor because it's more expensive. The Volvo EX30 almost looks like what Polestar would make, inside at least, if they made a less expensive car.

It's a Zeekr. I'm glad it's not like the EX30. I don't like how similar the EM90 is to the Zeekr009 or the Polestar 4 is to the Zeekr001. Or frankly how much the Eletre is to the Zeekr001. Make your own distinctive products and people will buy from the brands they like.

Volvo should be embarrassed. Zeekr gets an instrument cluster directly in front of the driver and a HUD. It doesn’t use the nasty recycled materials. The EX30 has been cost cut to death.
The said the EX30 is better looking, in a perfect work the outside of the EX30 mated to try Zeekr interior would be perfect.

@@MasterChief37 It's a very Volvo interior. The materials, the colors, the fabrics. Look at the XC40. The vertical vents are a modernization of the ones on the XC40. The door cards are very similar to the XC40 or C40 but modernized. The door handle, very Volvo in its clean and classy presentation. The flax material used is sustainable and in line with Volvo's emphasis on making their cars recyclable. Same thing for denim and the plastics used. If you don't like recycled materials Volvo isn't your brand. Then, for lack of a better word, blockiness and depth to the panels is straight out Volvo. Volvos were called "austere" in some publications in the 1990s and you know what car was called that? The 960 before Volvo added some wood on the dash and doors to dress it up. This is an entry-level Volvo but it has slick design, such as the sound bar, console/cupholder design, and the various storage areas inside the car.

No they are not. The EM90 costs more than the Zeekr009. They're basically the same vehicle but Volvo will tune it differently and make tweaks to it. The Zeekr X's size is more comparable to the XC40, not the EX30 which is smaller and supposed to feel like a bit less expensive XC40, but modernized. That's the real comparison. The Zeekr is more a forced one since they are built on the same platform and share the parent company. But they're not the same type of brand.

I think the comparisons of this car to the EX30 need to stop. Yes, these cars are made on the same platform but this car is bigger and more a competitor to the older EX40 in terms of interior quality and space. And Volvo is not trying to make a mini-luxury car like Zeekr is. Volvo is focused on sustainability and materials that have a low carbon footprint and are from recycled sources, not are the plushest materials they could put on their car. It's just not trying to accomplish the same thing. Even the XC40 doesn't do an interior like this one. Volvo's idea of upscale is just different than Zeekr. And while they may share a few things, Volvo and Polestar share material and sustainability goals and actual materials. I don't think the Zeekr is using "Nordico" but I'm not sure. I think Nordico is something Volvo commissions and uses and may only be shared with Polestar. The relationship between Volvo and Polestar is much closer than Volvo/Polestar with Zeekr. They may be all owned by Geely but that doesn't mean each brand is as close in terms of developing and sharing as another Geely Group brand is. Polestar was part of Volvo and still is in many ways. Zeekr really isn't part of Volvo.
In terms of positioning, Zeekr is premium but more geared toward the Chinese market. I know the Volvo version of the Zeekr009 is more expensive in China. The Polestar 4 is more expensive than the Zeekr001. So, Volvo and Polestar are premium to luxury but more of a Euro style where Zeekr is inbetween a Chinese and Euro style but designed expertly in Sweden. So it seems to have more obvious lux than any Volvo. But it doesn't mean that because the Volvo is more Euro understated it is the lesser car. And, again, the EX30 is Volvo's entry level car where the bigger Zeekr X is Zeekr's premium small car. I love the Volvo because of its clean style and appreciate the Zeekr. But the Volvo is more my style, personally. Still, I'd just rather have the Zeekr stand on its own as a car without the constant comparisons to the Smart or Volvo because they share a platform. In time, a lot of cars will share platforms but look and drive quite differently.
