Because you need to show some personal information like ID, bank statement, sometimes reference from work or family in Canada, E.t.c So, like you said, get student accommodation in the school hostel (sometimes you have to sign a 6-12 months lease), also get Airbnb and hotels if you don’t want to stay in school too.

Get a postgraduate certificate instead of a diploma. So many Colleges have 2years courses for that.
