Murray is so right! His collection and his creations are just right. The cars I was most disappointed when I once had the possibility to drive them were big, heavy cars with more than 500 hp; as BMW M5 or Nissan GTR. You have to drive fast. Very fast to savour them. On the straights.. Indeed, a light and nimble, agile car makes all the difference whilst driving them on public roads. Less mass, less breaks and tyres usage, much less fuel consumption. We can be very, very happy there are still (very few) cars available on the market, talking about "normal budget cars" . Many thanks to Mazda for the MX-5; many thanks to Toyota for the GR 86. Used for 5k: Mazda MX-5 or Fiat Barchetta. For 20k: Vauxhall Speedster (still looking totally fresh), and ouf course the Lotus Elise.

for him this is the equivilant of 90s cars for todays generation its incredible to see that he can still see the design language and it makes him really valuable because hes the last of the very few who can decipher it.
i will miss when his generation is around no longer. will be an empty world.
but ill visit your grave man.

To me it is so so special when this sort of video appears and we get to listen to a giant of the automotive industry talk to us like the uneducated enthusiasts that we all are in comparison.. When he started with the Lotus Elite I knew it was going to be fascinating. Still for me the prettiest of them all and with that ground breaking creation of that relationship between Lotus and Coventry Climax that achieved so much. Now you know why I hate the likes of Getemy Clarkson. Antithesis is a good word.

Mr. Murray preserving this particular part of automotive history makes the world a better place.
It really is a "bubble" -- but one that has every right to exist next to all those popular heavy hitters that seem to dominate the internet.

This is a beautiful collection. I loved this period of time in Italy and either owning or driving just every one of these cars. My friends and I all owned, 356, 911, Fiat Dino and my Alfa Romeo GTV, plus others. It was great to be in our early 20’s. Best part I made 400.00 per month and all these cars were very affordable. One of my friends bought a split window corvette for 700.00. I miss my cars and motorcycles of Italy.

Watching the Junior Zagatto in that spetacular Green, I could understand why I appreciate this car so much!! Man, that front portion of the car (and some other angles) somehow reminds me of my favorit car of all time.... the Alfa Romeo Carabo!!!!!
I'd love to hear Murray's impressions over the Carabo design!!!

what a collection! My dad bought a Giulia GT Junior Zagato in early 70s, 1300 silver. He was his car since my birth! Very fast and so rare even at those times that, having hit an embankment slipping on snowy asphalt, he had lot of difficulties to find the necessary spare parts for fixing the damages. He loved his car because was funny to drive and, being lighter with alluminium bonnet and doors, capable to beat if speed even 1,6 Giulias sedan! I did my first car trip on the car when my mother was discharged from hospital few days after I was born! I met Ercole Spada, the designer, having the chance to have a nice chat after he chaired an interesting conference at Torino Museo Dell'Automobile.

Ι'm completely amazed by this collection of beauties, that only a man who won himself the name of the "automotive guru" in his legendary carrier in F1 races (and of course not only that) could appreciate and even today he's showing to us his lifetime philosophy as an artist in designing the greatest artifacts of a technical era. My sincere complements!
