I don't think they should cancel the dlc cause they already teased both carnage and spider verse stuff in the main game so if they do cancel them the tease would have been meaningless

I personally know one of the voice actors and no, the DLC is not cancelled. It will be released the same way the Spiderman 1 DLCs were released. 3 DLCs, monthly. And my guess? October, November, and December. Just like the first game.

If the DLC has been canned, why hasn't Insomniac said anything about it? They haven't confirmed it's happening but they haven't said it's not happening and if the hack somehow caused them issues with said DLC that meant it couldn't be made why not just come out and say "The DLC isn't happening." Keep in mind that menu leak showed that there is at least one DLC being which was the conflict with the Beetle not to mention the game did REALLY well in sales so I don't see them just canning a DLC they likely are still working on. Keep in mind when some of the new patches were released Insomniac made it so getting beyond the map is next to impossible now with the old tricks no longer working. My guess is the DLC is coming and Insomniac is just making sure it's done right so it releases with as few bugs as possible. My guess we won't see anything until this fall or the start of next year and given how well the game sold I honestly wonder if the DLC will be free like Valhalla was.

There is not going to be any story dlc, but many channels decided to sell smoke about them saying that they are going to come out that they are real, blah blah blah, there is not going to be any story dlc, it is stupid that today people follow them expecting

It's still possible Since Spider-Verse 3 will take a while to come out, they will certainly try to release this third DLC (and the DLCs in general) when the movie is close to being released.

I am super sad rhat the dlc is not comming news. But hear me out on this. I hate the fact that th3 PS4 spider-man is in Across the spider-verse becausethat movie established the fact that only 1 miles exist in the Multiverse and our 1048 spider-man already hasa Miles Morales which he passed down the torch to. And he showed up in that movie with the Advanced suit 2.0 which means he already has miles as Spider-man which defies the logic of the movie entirely as Miles Morales was never supposeto be Spider-man. So The Spider-verse DLC is just not worth it in my oppinion. To many continuity issues to work between these connections. At least the PS4 Spider-man could have been thare from beforw the First game takes place to actually establish Miles in these continuities better. But insted, the movie just made it so that Miles was never supposeto exist as Spider-man in every reality. I hope there is time travel in the third movie to retcon this so it all makes sense.

I really like all your content, I have to respectfully disagree with this one though. I am still expecting Spider-Man 2 Story DLC. I think it was done or mostly done and saved in a different area than where the hack took place. Your logic is essentially nothing happened so there must have been nothing to steal. The same logic would be they are never releasing the Hulk game, or their Pac-Man game or their iPhone update. I trust Insomniac they know we are expecting story DLC if it wasn’t going to happen they would tell us. Because it would take us till Wolverine comes out to not be hating on the fact that we never got Spider-Man 2 DLC.

May not be supporting insomniac as much anymore unitl i actually see some improvements from the dev team, story was mid but serviceable and gameplay was peak with a few minor issues i had, MJ gameplay just sucks ass! im personally not sorry for giving them shit for it either, i would've rather played as black cat or wraith. I really dont mind playing as a chick in a video-game. Hell some of the best and my personal favorite games have female leads but spider-man is a fucking super hero game let me fucking play as one! without deviating away too far from the gameplay formula (something akin to atreus from god of war ragnarok would've been acceptable) if insomniac seriously wanted to do the the girl power, strong women message they've should've let us play as the super powered bad ass one without the down sides of breaking away from the power fantasy... sigh. To me this game really is a stain on insomniacs overall clean track record.

I stopped hoping for a DLC a long time ago. I don't think it's gonna happen anymore.
I think the DLC was supposed to come out earlier but the hack delayed it. So we likely won't get the DLC until late this year/early next year.

I trust Insomniac they know we are expecting story DLC if it wasn’t going to happen they would tell us. Because it would take us till Wolverine comes out to not be hating on the fact that we never got Spider-Man 2 DLC.
I understand what your meaning but it doesn’t make sense for them to have literally everything they’ve ever made in one spot except for this dlc.
Also there’s plenty of other reasons to believe it isn’t happening outside of that it’s just one of the reasons at the very least the next thing if we don’t get dlc should be venom
@@Ironsmashweb it does if it was ready to be shipped, but waiting on PlayStation to give the go ahead for the holiday season with the PS5 pro…if it was moved into “gold status” they may have moved it out of all the development files/stages

May not be supporting insomniac as much anymore unitl i actually see some improvements from the dev team, story was mid but serviceable and gameplay was peak with a few minor issues i had, MJ gameplay just sucks ass! im personally not sorry for giving them shit for it either, i would've rather played as black cat or wraith.
I really dont mind playing as a chick in a video-game. Hell some of the best and my personal favorite games have female leads but spider-man is a fucking super hero game let me fucking play as one! without deviating away too far from the gameplay formula (something akin to atreus from god of war ragnarok would've been acceptable) if insomniac seriously wanted to do the the girl power, strong women message they've should've let us play as the super powered bad ass one without the down sides of breaking away from the power fantasy... sigh. To me this game really is a stain on insomniacs overall clean track record.

@Ironsmashweb and like I said as the game was supposed to be bigger than what it initially was they shortened and rushed it due to the first round of leaks and death threats and they are still getting them and you look forward to a lot more cancelizations in the future
